Melly, do I remember seeing something about an OT assessment? How did it go?

Gitdog has fallen out with me - I've had one of those days where I've been out of sorts with everyone and everything. No reason, just one of those days. I was clanking and slamming things around in the kitchen (as you do) and he got worried and attached himself to the back of my legs and I kept falling over him. So I got cross with him and now he won't come near me. :(

Turmeric is meant to be good for something in dogs - can't remember what though, which isn't particularly helpful.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Awww, Gitdog knows you love him, elsien. He will forgive you!

Turmeric is supposed to help dogs with inflammation and itching.

Is tumeric for joint pain, Elsien?
I've heard about it but am not sure either.
I used Seraquin with my previous mutt for joint pain, but I think yumove has got better reviews than that now

Serves me right for being a grumpy mare -I got cross with myself for having a week off and not managing to either do any of the jobs on my list, or to do anything particularly interesting. Although I did find a good Nepalese restaurant, so that's something.

  • I have never tried Nepalese food, is it good? Perhaps you just needed a week to relax for a bit, nothing wrong with that!

The OT assessment went like this
Assessor 'I am going to contact the HA to tell them this was an inappropriate assessment, you need a medical assessment not an access assessment.'
Me 'I know, sorry about that'

Got a call with Shelter on Monday aft to go through my email to them telling them the above. They requested it, it will be next steps I think.

We are getting a swivel bather and grab rail cos of my keep collapsing in the shower.

Just had a lovely cat food scented dribbley love.

I looked at golden paste (tumeric) it's supposed to upset bellies as Mr Boo has colitis and gets the squits for no reason at all I went with yumove.

yes it is the surgery, I know how brutal it is.. the pain is always off the scale and thew morphine pump makes me halucinate.. Being on a ward with mental illness is so hard, there's no privacy, the fleuro light triggers my light sensitivity, I hate being there, I really do .. My PTSD brain is telling me I'm going to die a long slow painful death like what I endured with sepsis and a bag.. I so desperately wish I had a boyfriend, I;'ve been single for 7 years. And I feel like I want my mum, but she is an evil abuser so I don't have any family. I just feeel so vulnerable.. yes I do take nice things in.. I always want natural things as the drugs are so chemical.. I've packed a Neals Yard hand cream and room spray. I've got my Lotso bear and a travel memory foam cushion to cuddle. I've got lavender oil, my tablet. Also snack bars, a jar of honey and my own white tea bags , peppermint and chamomile and I kinow they will think i am bonkers, but i'm going to try wearing sunglasses.. It's so hard packing for hospital, I wish it was for a holiday instead x
