    i'll make the tea!!

i really good at hiding my feelings but overall everything is just getting on top of me :(
i'm losing the ability to see the point of it all.
i think it goes deeper because I am a very bubbly person and i make "friends" easily so i find it difficult to understand whats happening.
i constantly feel now that people don't like me and are simply putting up with me.

Thought that what you meant Melly. Was just going to quote post 2100 but see that's it's been edited. Was just going to say that I'm sure you know what you're doing Melly, but is that not bad with your history of TIA's?

Must admit, unless the biscuits are gingery, I usually prefer savoury too! Cheesy or marmitey! Trouble is, they are packed with salt! :(

I could have written what Tootiemac said.

Only wanted because they got nothing better to do. Be it someone I thought I was dating and so called friends.

I have no answers. I found the easiest solution is not to bother with people.

means you can't get used or hurt but does make it lonely!!!

I must admit, when I have felt as if I have given out a lot, but when I needed understanding, got precious little, I have tended to cut myself off from those people, either totally or almost totally.
I suppose the problem could be that an awful lot of people aren't all that empathic......oh, maybe to obvious things like major life crises, but not to those little nuances that show that someone is shy, or lonely, or needing TLC. Mind you, when you actually ask for help, and get a metaphorical door shut in your face, that's not good!

I think a lot of the time, people just do not think. They simply do not stop to think that if they no longer ask you to breakfast where for two weeks they did, that you might be affected by that.

You may remember, I had an instance in my AmDram group not that long ago where I felt blatantly excluded, and boy! does it hurt!

So yes, Calley, I understand about cutting people out, it does save being continually hurt. I suppose we just have to keep looking for like-minded people! And experiencing new things that put us in touch with new people!

I would prefer not to by choice. but when people can't be bothered to make time in there lives for you or always make excuses you know you are not that important in there lives. Or blatantly lie like the friend who supposedly being trying to contact me. Just makes me feel so :(

So best not bother as it will just cause me distress and I am not looking for that at the moment. Trying to have a nice, simple, easy life. As I need and want to get better.

Thanks for the nice welcome, must say I feel like I'm invading a bit.
I suppose I should tell you a bit about myself, I don't think I need to but I'll penguin it just in case

I don't actually have any solid diagnosis' apart from chronic depression but that was diagnosed when I was 12 (12 years ago, eek). I've seen therapists, counsellors, psychotherapists, psychiatrists and various other mental health professionals, even including a residental 'voluntary' stay when I was 14.

No-one could decide what I have and I gave up asking after I read a report that said I had a 'factious disorder', implying I was lying through my teeth. I haven't seen anyone properly for a long time, I was meant to have a course of CBT for anxiety but they messed me around so much I cancelled it.

Over the years I've had various 'diagnosis' ' but I'm pretty settled on chronic depression, some kind of compulsion/obsessive disorder (but not as far as OCD), severe anxiety and either MPD or some form of dissociative disorder.
The last one is the scariest one to say out loud though.

Sorry if I rambled a bit...I tend to do that when I'm nervous :o

Thank you for that Miss_ Mario!

It's always worse when you don't know, why you're feeling so bad!

Are you able to have private CBT? That might help, but is expensive, I know.

I battled with the diagnosis of depression for years. Not one anti-depressant helped, and one even pushed me into meltdown (Prozac).

Then I found out about ADHD, and it turned out that it appeared to be rife in my family. Once I was treated for that, things were a lot better.
But for 25 years I'd battled with the consequences of it being undiagnosed and untreated.

So in some ways, it can be helpful to get the right diagnosis, if only to get the right treatment.

And, you are most definitely NOT invading! :)
