  • That makes Pluto my favourite planet because it has a heart! *Puts fingers in ears. Lalalalala it IS a planet!*

Don't worry too much about the possibility of MPD/DID, dragonette. The dissociative scale is a large one and there are many different degrees of dissociation. Even people getting up and getting ready for work without thinking about their routine is a level of it. As long as it isn't bothering you it's fine, I am very attached to my others, I no longer consider the fact that they are there a disorder at all. They enhance my life, not make it worse and I can live with the derealisation and depersonalisation aspects, they make up for it!

Welcome to tootiemac and Miss Mario! How lovely to have some new people in our little haven!

WaS - hope you are feeling better and better. xxx

Can I just say how proud I am of my facebook friends? Someone posted that they were entertained by a stranger on the tube, who looked well presented and didn't seem at all distressed, talking to his voices. I replied

'I wouldn't worry about this too much. Romme and Escher, who founded the Hearing Voices Network, discovered that there are loads of people who hear voices who have never attracted a diagnosis of mental illness, and function perfectly normally. He may have been one of the many people who manage their voices by allowing them an hour or so every day when they are answered. This is a well-validated technique which works for some people to help them keep their voices under control. /mental health lecture mode off.'

I then retreated, expecting loads of criticism, but in fact 6 people have 'liked' the reply and I've had loads of answers asking more about the network and saying they never knew about techniques for managing voices! (Neither do I, much, but I do know that the HVN is a great resource!)

Hugs/warm handshakes/squishes to all those who would like them :)

If I start my SMP now I will have used quite a bit before escapee even arrives. I am reluctant to as a lot of my problems are down to work being pratts.
Hubby has said that if the fit note doesn't work tomorrow then to just go off sick and then see what we can claim back when I am in a better frame of mind to deal with it.

I got in a tizz as I was experiencing a lot of cramps at work, so kept having to sit down. My boss then kept asking me to get up and help him which I felt I couldn't say no to.

I then went to antenatal class and had to leave as the cramps were getting worse. Had a panic so rang the hospital who said to monitor it and call back later if no improvement.

Hubby then hit the roof and said we were going to the doctors as I am getting in too much of a state trying to work, and he is concerned about me and baby.

Doctor agreed work were putting me at risk, so gave me a fit note so it can get used as proof that they aren't being helpful.

I just hate that my anxiety is kicking off big time and I am feeling out of control again. Calmer than I was earlier, and trying to take my mind off things.

Neighbours can be awful so you have my sympathy. At my old house I made myself a nest out of duvets and pillows and would hide there when they got too noisy. Gave me somewhere else to escape to as there felt like no escape in the house generally. Sounds odd but it did help!

Doctor has said they need to reduce the temperature of my working environment and I need to be able to sit down to work.
Both are pretty impossible, so the idea is that as they will not be able to meet these conditions they have to suspend me on full pay due to not being able to reduce risks.
If they do manage to meet the conditions then that is proof that they haven't done anything before then to help me out, and so I should be able to claim back any loss of earnings from being off before.

It was the doctors idea to basically force them to either sort things out so I don't need to be off work any more, or to get them to drop themselves in it by admitting they haven't been helping reduce risks.

It wasn't something I had even thought of doing! Doctor didn't want to sign me off sick as she says I am pregnant not ill, and working for idiots isn't an illness!

katy - lol - your doctor sounds awesome "working for idiots isn;t an illness" - ha ha ha. Super big squish for you and a tummy squish for escapee721 - let us know how it goes and I so hope it works ( and if they cannot meet the requirements and you are off sick, you are not to feel guilty about your nice colleagues as it is not YOUR fault they are even shorter staffed - it is your managements fault for not planning properly and retaining staff.)

WaV - you can have your planet and I shall keep my mouth firmly shut as i'd otherwise go on for ages coz I like space/rocks/geology. You are the sun in our little world and we are all planets that revolve around you, since we have all been drawn here by you! ((hug))

Oh Moo - how horrible........... what about the basic thing in the rental agreement that states no kids - surely the people who broke it have to fix it? (naievity on my part probably)

Ya know how easy it is to help sort other people but so hard to handle our own issues? Lets all solve each others issues!

Calley - How many a's are there and how many c's?
If you go through the instructions - can you see any other place where A's are needed ( and does the amount needed add up to how many you have?) - In which case you should be using the c's.

I added up what it said per page for A and C's. As it says at the bottom of each picture how many.

and I should be using C's. So why put the balloon box with the A's in.

flipping heck talk about make it hard work LOL!!!!

    Thanks again.

lol - I have this theory that there are at least 2 "mistakes" in ALL instructions...deliberate ones!!!!!

Have fun enjoying the finished product. If I was there I would put it together with the whizz whizz for you whilst you make the tea and lay out the Jaffa cakes and cheese sticks!
