meant to say the makeup offer is on the grabbit board.

just tend to buy bits and pieces as and when. But time I upped my game in all areas of appearance. So that means make up, hair, clothes and weight.

Time to focus on myself and no one else. Time to be selfish. And I will see and meet people on my terms and not theres.

Oh my goodness. sounds like I am being assertive and getting a back bone :T

I did the full makeover thing when I was made redundant as part of my "look less old" campaign. New hairstyle, bit of colour, a few bits of make up for interviews (don't usually wear it.) A few new bits of work clothing.
Helped my confidence a lot although when I was getting all the "ooh, it looks much better" I did wonder why non of my nearest and dearest had mentioned beforehand that I was looking a bit rough around the edges. :rotfl:

I do wear makeup now and dye my hair, and as you saw try and wear pretty dresses.

But I think I just need to up my game a bit. And try and be a bit more assertive.

Not about getting my way but making people understand that yes your point is very valid but so is mine. So lets meet in the middle somewhere and how.

I normally tend to shy away and just let people talk over me and let them get away with it.

Absolutely the right thing! Good for you! :)

Elsien, they probably didn't think you looked rough, it was just that they were used to the way you look!
Then they saw you in a 'do' that obviously suited you and reckoned it was a change for the better!
What sort of 'do' did you change from and to?

Its something in the window of a shop. Its something they do not normally sell or part of the service they provide.

An example of a couple I have found. One of the local building societies has a plastic knife in the window.

The local chemist has a plastic cow wedge in a wally trolley. Its not always obvious. I have looked in the local toy shop and be blowed if I can find it.

You pay £1 for the program and fill it and you could win a prize!!!

Have to the end of the month to find it.

    Hope that helps.

That sounds good! I wish we could do that! Perhaps I'll suggest it to the Council!

It was funny as it was suppose to start on the 1st of July. Last saturday which was the 4th of july. I looked in a shop window that was suppose to be doing it. They had no label up in the window. And saw we had the program in hand and came out and went go away while I put it in the window :rotfl:

Any off to do it now.

And I have been asked out on a date as well  LOL!!!

Have a good afternoon my lovelies.

    Catch you up later.
