  • Hi all! Do take it easy Katy, sit down as much as you need. If your boss argues then you are taking responsibility for your own health as he requested. Keep your little escapee safe!

Three umbrellas, elsien? Sounds like Gitdog had fun or was he expecting a shower?

Great new on your OH's appointment, Melly!

    Yay for internet, Pyxis!

I have found a slight problem with having a large HD tv. I can see things much clearer and when looking at pictures you can see imperfections on people's faces. One of my more strange OCD symptoms is feeling as if I have things stuck on my face. So whenever I see a picture of someone with a mole, or a cold sore, etc I start to feel like it is on my face. As weird as this sounds the only way to give myself relief and stop myself obsessing is to pretend to brush the object off of my own face. This gives me relief until I see it again or see something similar. I am permanently brushing my face and pulling imaginary things off of it! I still love the tv, though. It is so much easier on my eyes for internet usage.

I never knew you could do that! Obviously, expensive for longterm use, but ideal for just a day! :T

I know someone who pays £10 a day for access  As they won't get a telephone or internet connection, earns a good wage to so no idea why he wont do it. He is a plank but there you go. But don't think he uses the internet very often. I believe the odd bit of ebay and !!!!!! :rotfl:

I just feel strange today. Not lonely, not sad, not happy just. Not sure why I keep replaying something that happened yesterday. I wish I had said something at the time. As I don't like being spoken to like that. Well lost my support or help. Let them get on with it.

    Yours

WaS, have you tried it without HD? It might not show the moles and things quite so clearly.

  • Ooooh, I can turn it off? I have no idea how to work most of it yet. If I can turn it off it would help because with OCD symptoms comes a lot of anxiety which I could do without. I also get very annoyed with myself because it was one of my most ridiculous OCD symptoms. It's one of the one of the reasons why I hardly watch tv anyway, if I see someone gagged for example I immediately feel as if I am choking and have to pretend to remove a gag from my face or I feel like I can't breathe. Another weird thing is if I see someone with a spot, for example I can physically feel it on my face, I actually feel itchiness and soreness as if it was really there. My imagination is just far too vivid for my own good.

Well, I don't know if you can turn it off, but as you said you were watching it in HD, I assumed you were watching the HD channels. On my TV, I have the option of watching BBC1,2,3,4, ITV, channel 4, etc. either in HD or in ordinary, non-HD mode. There might not be an option with DVDs.

    Hopefully this will work.

Tomorrow I will be mainly sorting out my containers. Usually I have tomatoes and chilli and stuff growing this year not had time.

Ooh! They're nice! I like the simple dahlias. Don't like the big, blowsy, many-petalled ones, but the single-layered ones are nice.

It does work and they are beautiful Melly :)

Well done Katy, sounds like escapee is being looked after. Make sure you maintain your stance in your remaining shifts, one less left than this morming!

That is expensive Pyxis! Hope you enjoy your time away.

Today I have reached the city of Leon with it's Storks nests, it's half way to Santiago de Compostella (except we are doing another 130km ish after that glutton for punishment)) :D

Had to buy new walking sandals as have killed the Tevas I bought 3 weeks ago and split the sole. We celebrated with tasty tapas and microbrewery beer :)

    Happy saturday all. (((())))
