*yawns* really not happy to be awake, feeling pretty groggy and only got about 3 hrs sleep. I'm assuming it's stress? Seeing friends this afternoon/evening might be a bit tricky if I'm falling asleep. Oh well.

Hope everyone is doing better than me at this hour of the morning!!

    Good morning Dragonette!

    I've been awake an hour+.
Am hoping my meds will kick in soon and kick me up the butt! Have mountains of stuff to do!
Am pleased with what I got done yesterday, though, just little things, but done without feeling terrified!

I've been awake most of the night and am now just about to go to work
Been awake worrying about baby coming early due to being on my feet all day, lifting, bending and stretching at work. All things the midwife told me not to do.
I can't afford to be off sick though and still have three weeks left there.
Feeling guilty about putting money before babies welfare, but without earning I can't pay the rent.
Just wish my boss would let me take the holiday I am owed, would solve a lot of problems!

Have a good day everyone and think of me sweltering next to massive ovens in this lovely warm weather!

Katy, could you get a letter from the midwife saying you shouldn't be bending and stretching, and show it to your boss, saying that you must insist on the taking the holiday you are due. Either that, or you will go to work, but you won't bend, lift or stretch, as that would be going against medical advice.

Add that you're sure he wouldn't want to jeopardise the well-being of your unborn baby, would he?

Tried that. He did a risk assessment that basically states that I am to 'manage my own working environment to reduce risks'. Which passes the responsibility back to me without actually altering my job or putting any cover in place to do the bits I can't.

Then I suppose you'd be perfectly within your rights not to bend, lift or stretch, and he couldn't argue differently! :)
If, as a result, it takes you longer to do things, so be it.,

It might be worth having another word with the midwife, though.

Another one here who couldn't sleep either. :( Could be to do with the fact I fell asleep on the sofa an hour or two before bed. I was shattered, partly due to stressing yesterday and probably partly because we went for a long walk.

Post came through, and I recognised one envelope straight away, from Premium Bonds....it's always exciting, wondering how much you've won exactly! Usually it's £25, this time £50!!

Katy, I can't believe your boss isn't being more accommodating? Surely he should realise that these are things are pregnant women shouldn't be doing as much of, if it all? I second everything Pyxis has said, and hope you manage to get something sorted soon x x

    Congrats on your win, Georgie!

If I ever get a little unexpected prize, I always make sure I use it to buy a treat, be it a 'something' or a trip out! Makes it seem more like a prize, then! :)

Ps. I will be incommunicado till tomorrow morning, as I will be somewhere that doesn't have internet!

    See you all tomorrow!
