I knew I could rely on you all to make me feel better! Love hearts all round!
HBS I've been told previously that mine is titled too, so that could have been a reason perhaps?
Thanks code, that's helpful info.It definitely felt like it was cranked open wider.
Pyxis, that's what I'm worried about, that it just seemed that rushed at the end, that she didn't get a good enough swap, and I'll have to go back.
I consulted Dr Google (I know, I know!!), and found some threads that said some nurses took 20-30 mins to find someone's cervix, and or really struggled. Once the thing was in and in place, she literally swiped round for 1-2 seconds, and I think that's why I was abit worried, that she'd just gone in fast and hoped for the best! :rotfl:
A lot of things I don't worry or fret about, but things health related I do, I can't help it.0 -
Were you a bit constipated? That might have made things uncomfortable.(I just lurve spiders!)

Well done Georgie, I'm sure everything is fine and the nurse was just not as gentle as others!
I still need to book mine, the only issue is that my doctor's receptionist is awkward when you book appointments and wants a clear explanation of why you need a double appointment with a nurse... like it's not obvious... and I don't fancy announcing in the office that I need to book a smear test!
Katy - maybe your little Escapee needs one of these?!

Good afternoon all! I feel a bit better today, still very stupid but less paranoid. I miscalculated, there are actually 33 packets of pasta! What on earth was I thinking?! Shopping when psychotic is not a good idea! Well, we won't run out anytime soon.
I do very badly with anything related to welfare payments. I have always felt terribly guilty that I get them and I permanently wait for someone to realise that I don't deserve them and for them to be taken away, in fact two days ago I nearly gave my money to charity out of guilt (which would have been a tad stupid!). Hence anything like budgets or ESA forms are a huge trigger. On my last ESA review it took 3 days before I agreed to be voluntarily sectioned, I got into that much of a state that I wasn't functioning at all and got semi-stuck in a catatonic world. I would so love to not claim a thing, but on the other hand I have always said that I will do something very bad rather than work again, not because I don't want to but because I feel myself to be a risk to others. I will never, ever put myself into a position where I could hurt anyone or anything. I will remove myself before that happens and I truly do mean that. Not that I ever have hurt anyone but it is my worse fear. I have reoccurring dreams of people and animals dying because of my neglect, it is a huge trigger for me and all caught up with my family telling me that I murdered my parents. As irrational as it is I feel like I bring pain and death to others. I have said this to psychiatrists and they have said the fact that you think like that is one of the reasons why you aren't able to work...
So all of this goes through my head any time welfare is mentioned and I get myself into a huge state and make myself ill. Still, feeling a bit more stable today so hopefully the worse is over and I will start to feel better than I have since the budget was first announced.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

At my gps if you want a same day appointment they ask you what its about. To decide if its a Dr or Nurse you need to see.
If its a appointment booked in advance then they don't ask. Go figure.
Anyway I survived today :rotfl: I must be getting much calmer as on the way home I stopped to let a couple of cars get of a junction. And someone beeped there horn behind me. Not sure if it was at me or not. Normally I am first to shout and do hand signals. This afternoon I was like meh!!! What ever.
Anyway I need to book a smear. Not had one and I am 43 in 10 days time  I have my reasons and I am not going in to them here. And I have read around the subject as well. Need to check when I am next due on. As my last few TOTM's have been 28 days, 26 days, 20 days, 26 days!!!

Calley.......book your smear, please. If you later find it might coincide with TOTM, you can change it!
