    This is the silly bit.

I can ring up and talk to people in customer services etc that I never have to meet.

But find it difficult with people that I am going to meet.

    I know strange.

But will take on board what you have said.

Calley, what about a photography group? I would mention that of course, as it's a subject close to my heart! :). But it popped into my mind after reading about your new camera yesterday. I meant to ask you what make you got? With the photography groups they have meetings every week, but they also have field trips too (well at least that's what they did in my Dad's camera club) and also competitions on various themes.

I would join the one my Dad was president of, but loads of new people joined not so long back, and my Dad and his friends who had been in for years, didn't like the new direction it was going in, and a lot of the older ones (my Dad included) were starting to find it hard to keep up with all the new technology (to them) like Photoshop, HDR etc. Whilst I think Photoshop has it's place, sometimes photos just look too edited, and personally I prefer them as au naturale as possible.

I used to like wearing sexy undies, but that doesn't work on him either - so now I have granny pants :rotfl:

We all like different things. I know there's a sterotype (reinforced by both the advertising and pornography industries) that men like women in lingerie but it certainly doesn't apply to all of us.

I'm amongst those that is entirely unable to see sexiness in any women's undergarment at all, to the despair of an ex ("I've got all these nice things, and you're not interested at all!" were her exact words, as I recall :o ). A nice dress, on the other hand ...

    .

I have just bought a canon Ixus 162 but I also have a canon EOS 1100D which I bought nearly 3 yrs ago.

I bought the Ixus so I could always have a camera with me.

Sounds odd Calley, but what about setting up your own group?
I find that if I organise an event I am fine, but terrified of going to things someone else has organised!
You could even do it for people who are shy locally etc as you will know best how to make them feel at ease

I rarely go out and was suppose to be going to a BBQ at 5pm. So my stomach beings to play up.

So thought I better not go just incase I have picked up a bug and don't want to pass it on.

    How crap is that.

Oh well another night on my own!!!!

It looks a good little camera! :) My Dad was a big Canon fan, my favourite is Olympus.

Shame about your stomach bug :( If you feel up to it, I'd say it'd still be ok to go, or are you worried because there's likely to be someone with a weakened immune system there?

Yes I got a good deal on it. The camera, 8gb sd card and case for £79.99. Plus buying it from JL got 2 year warranty instead of one.
