It lasts, Calley. Sometimes you might need to do a top up say once a year to remind yourself if you feel shaky but otherwise it stays with you. A lot of Hypnotherapy involves recording your sessions. Mine would be recorded then I would listen to them every night for a week until the next session. This cements it into your mind. Then you always have the recordings to return to if you ever feel as if you are relapsing.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

*hugs* SDW, you're the one living with the symptoms and its you who has to deal with it so i think explaining that, hopefully with help of OH might make the GP consider other options.
I accidentally made a child cry today.... her mum bought pizza (which is now in a triangle slice) and when she gave it to the little girl she had a full on meltdown because she wanted the old square shaped one. Her mum tried to explain it was the same but she was one very upset kid. I did try to help by offering to give her another slice free...so she could tell the kid it was a square but we cut it in half but although she appreciated the thought she didn't think it would work.
Other than that (and some dubious farm yard animal noises we were making later on....don't ask :rotfl: ) it was an average work day. Pleased o be home and in my jammies....now to find something to watchThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hello Team WaS. Feeling very sorry for myself today.
I am in a lot of pain, which seems worse because I've been relatively pain free for a few weeks. I've gained 3lbs this week despite being good and can't get my rings off. And I'm feeling very sad and alone, so I googled for ideas on how to deal with it and one suggestion was to read old emails.
So I logged into my email account, which I've had for years and had a look at the old emails in there. And now I'm even more blue. There were emails from friends who have moved on without me. And even worse, emails from ex-boyfriends from when I was minxy and fabulous, which has just reminded me that I have the sex appeal of a damp dishrag and I don't have guys falling over me anymore. I also found a very explicit email I sent to an ex and I couldn't even read it - it felt like I was prying on someone else's email because I'm not that girl anymore. I tried to do that with DH and he wasn't interested. I used to like wearing sexy undies, but that doesn't work on him either - so now I have granny pants :rotfl:
So all in all, I wouldn't recommend the old email thing.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Well, WaS, you'd like a Greek letter.
Trouble is, there isn't really a Greek letter Equivalent of W.
So, I thought perhaps you could choose one of these two.......
alpha.......the Greek a, .because you were the first person on this thread.......
Or lambda, the Greek letter l, because it's got a little lamb in it! :rotfl:(I just lurve spiders!)

Hi all.
((((((Code)))))
I have to go back to hospital, getting an emergency Appointment.
Doc doesn't like residual weakness in left side wants scans doing to check for brain damage0 -
Hugs code x x I can see where they are coming from with the 'go back and read your old emails' idea, but I think in reality, it can be one of the worst ideas ever....as unfortunately you've found out
Nothing wrong with a good old pair of granny pants though....comfort always wins, well apart from if you get knocked down by a bus or something....who knows what hunky firemen will be around?!
Hope the pain eases soon too.
Hugs to you too Melly x x Glad you're getting a thorough investigation, but that it shows up nothing serious, and it's just residual weakness from your previous Tia that is taking it's time going.
Thanks for recommending that vitamin D spray Pyxis. I'm another one who didn't know you could get it in spray form. I think it'll be handy for DH as I really don't think he gets enough sunshine at all being stuck up in that office all day.0 -
I've got a suggestion for WaS's Greek letter, too. (Wanted to put it earlier but ran out of time.) But I won't be in the least offended if you'd rather be an alpha or a lamb!
I thought an epsilon (I'll let Pyxis find a piccy) because it is used so often in maths - and in Excel! - for a sum, and you are the sum of all that is good in this thread, and hold us all togetherxxx
Special hugs, today, for 7DW (your RLS sounds so horrid!), NCIS, calley, ANYONE who is feeling overweight *gives self a big hug cos I know I am still overweight even though I feel so good on 5:2*, katy, WaS for horrid periods, and codemonkey. AND TEA, IF YOU ARE READING! xxxx And anyone else I have missed (in which case, apologies) or any lurkers who would like one.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Melly, hope you get something sorted, it seems to have been going on for way too long.
I am staying with a relative and have discovered the best excuse ever for not doing the washing up - I can't get past the child locks on the cupboard to get the washing up liquid out. :rotfl:All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

I was annoyed actually as i kept quite a journal on myspace and it all got deleted when they updated it  I have 2 diaries here and its hard to read through them. But in some ways it helps, i find a lot of the time i don;t realise how bad thing were till i read them back. Keeping a recrod helps me look back on periods without the rose tinted glasses, and in some ways helps me process it, but its not easy reading. I also can;t read through letters off all my psych appointments without getting upset. Its hard to look back and remember how bad things were
Nothing wrong with Granny pants! Lol at first with Swain i was making the effort with matching underwear, i've now realised he really doesn't give a !!!!and just wear whatever! (still like wearing dresses when i see him though....he's told me i look tres sexy in dresses as it accentuates my curves
...so i keep wearing them..which is fine as i have a dress addiction anyway :rotfl: )

When it spirals it spirals. Problem is I can't do what I need to to get back under control (presuming hemiplegic migraine and not stroke)
It was the going on about brain damage that freaked me out.
Back to not showering cos I don't trust my left leg to hear my weight.
Had to lie down so he could test my legs, was dizzy when I sat up. Don't think he liked that either.0
