NCIS_fan, have you had hypnotherapy for the food phobia? It can be effective where there are bad associations.

  • I saw a CAMHS therapist for years and I am doing well. I'm just a vegetarian. Meat and me will never be friends. I can touch it and handle it now but I won't eat it.

    That's fair enough!
Do you eat cheese and eggs?

  • Yes I do eat cheese and eggs. The only issues they have with vitamins etc is my Vit D, Vit B12 and iron. The first two due to malabsorption and the last one due to woman issues

Would the mouth spray Vit D suit you, more than tablets?

Yes! If you can't get it on prescription, you can buy it in pharmacies and health shops.
I used one all last winter.

Thank you pyxis, I use OHs tablet of some description but couldn't tell you what it was!

Had a thoroughly awful day today and hulk made an appearance while I was at work, managed to lay in to my boss which was not one of my wisest moves. He was being a plonker though and I was shattered after being in hospital last night getting baby checked, so I feel justified!

OH had a job interview today, which if he gets it will relieve my stress an awful lot.

7DW I have restless legs too and it is awful, I suspect mine is only a mild case though. It's an after-effect of my medication. I have to sleep with my legs raised very high on pillows, and pillows as a weight on top of them. Doesn't leave much room for OH in the bed! Could you write down how it affects your day to day life and give that to your doctor? Sometimes having it in writing makes them take more notice
  • I have had hypnosis, Calley and it worked very well. Mine was very specific though, to allow me to become aware of my others and communicate with them. You don't have to particular 'go under', you are aware of where you are the whole time. It is more like the state you get when you are almost asleep and you are drifting with dream-like thoughts but know that you are still awake? It isn't scary at all and you can bring yourself out of it at any time, the control remains yours. Also, no one can make anyone do anything under hypnosis that they don't want to to do, it is a way of being able to contact your subconscious more easily but that is all (it isn't all dramatic like on tv).

That sounds awful, SDW do explain to your doctor how bad it is for you next week. I am so glad that you will have your husband there for support.

Builders loud, TOTM awful (can someone survive with this much blood-loss?) and I will be in the fort. I want a Greek letter!

Thanks for that. This may sound like a strange question but is a temporary thing or does it last?

I really want to sort my issues. I got so many to deal with. But one at a time. I can't afford to go to a hypnotherapist. So I am using youtube. Not sure how many times I should listen to them. But I will keep going until I feel that its no longer an issue.
