Afternoon all,
Have read a number of previous posts about the above 'company' and just need some reassurance that I should not cave in.
My son received a letter a few months back (he was not the driver but is the registered keeper) and showed the £60 fine to me in a state of panic. I followed advice from this site and ignored the letter. We did not appeal. We have since received a follow up letter (with £100 fine) and now one from a 'debt recovery' group requesting £160.
Is the general advice to continue to ignore these people?
Should I sent a letter to this 'company' denying the debt and requesting an end to this harassment?
Is there any reason for me to panic/change my stance and pay?
Any advice is gratefully accepted.

VCS are well known on this forum , many of there car parks are easy to beat , some are harder
on some they would not like to get questioned in a court
can you elaborate on the type of car park , the words I am hoping to hear are ?????? airport ,0 -
What "ignore" advice was that? From 1977? That advice is over 2 years out of date and has not been advised on here since 2013.
Please read the Newbies sticky thread and get up to date advice from that, then come back if you don't understand anything.0 -
It was outside John Lennon Liverpool Airport0

Oh dear ........
you need to read the newbies thread
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822
and then read through most of the links below ( especially the last one)
The scammers that infest JLA are in cahoots with said airport as its is a (allegedly) mutual financial arrangement ....
Go back a year or so and you would win this at a POPLA appeal ..... however in the world of PPC's they can create another appeals body (the IPC) that are a (again allegedly) kangaroo court  (the IPA)
you therefore can (after reading the below) chose to wait it out , or in IMHO do the appeals as a paper trail.
VCS are about to try out their first small claims court case over such .... I predict that they will pull out before the trial ..... (update ---they they did pull the case with a few weeks a go .... wonder why?)
Please do not let this put you off ..... read and understand ........
then come back with any questions
I am going to give you some more reading as, all this b@@licks at the 'Welcome to John Lennon Airport' is getting silly ....
first the one thread that all newbies must read is
