Job safe until after Xmas with reduced hours............Happy with that for now, but has given me food for thought and the chance to look into doing something different with my life...hang up my mop and bucket once and for all Lol
DS has been promoted by his charity work from tagging clothes to working on the till......he was beaming all evening last night. I remember this time last year he wouldn't even make full eye contact with strangers and now he is has been given more responsibility serving the customers and making small talk his confidence is starting to shine again.......... He is giving but also receiving, the self worth, the experience.....the lack of wages seems so unimportant. I am so proud of my boy how he has shown strength once again in not allowing these bully's to win.
OH is still working hard, but up and down with the usual problem (thank goodness I have booked a week away over Xmas). His daughter is also visiting at the weekend....will be nice to see her, she is the only sensible part of his family ( she has seen lots growing up so backs me up, which is nice) and she does like to give him a stern talking too ....takes the pressure off me.
right then off to Metro center today with DS ......few Xmas pressys left to buy...need to wrap up freeeeezing .
Oh got my free chicken nuggets and now have a voucher for a free cheesecake yummy.
No pennys to put into savings again but not to worry.
Also still no payment from horrible jobs extra works living in hope at the mo ....please no small claims court again.

    CC B £1,550/ CC S £1,700...£3,250 total …. Mortgage £100,000 /£69,150 paid £30,850 remaining

I'm so pleased to hear your son is enjoying his charity shop work. That awful tutor has not succeeded in scaring him for life!

Ugh to non payment though. I'm self employed too and it is a huge pain having to chase people.

Thanks Bobs..............Wow were have I been for a week?....time passes so quickly. Evenings have been filled partly by reading your diary Bobs.... had no idea you were also self employed and you seem so organised and with two little ones to run around after ....how do you do it? must say I am totally fascinated with your no food wastage policy Brilliant!! have decided to follow your lead and give it a go....I am truly inspired x
Busy week, reduced hours turned into 16 hours overtime so have been grabbing every minute whilst I can.....especially as my job loss is still on the cards. :(
OH still on his best behavior, but with Xmas looming and after last years Xmas days of horror sketched into my brain forever I am very happy to be jetting off in a couple of weeks.:j
DS is doing 4 days in the charity shop next week, the manager has asked him to look after the shop for a little while on Monday whilst she does the banking and although he is nervous to be given the responsibility, it is a boost to his confidence all the same..............
Water bill reduced by £5 a month whoo hoo happy with my new water meter :T
No savings for mortgage but instead change of tactics and have built up cash in current account so all bills are covered till the end of February 2017, clever me hehe;) needed the peace of mind......also no council tax & water DD are needed to be paid for feb and march 2017 as just remembered DD run over a 10 month period...what a lovely thought....:D
Fridge is totally empty, but freezer is stocked high, so I am going to try and miss a full food shop this week and stick to basics, bread, milk etc.
Almost had a silly moment today and bought a pair of Clarksy boots £80 what was I thinking.anyway came to my senses and put card back in my purse whew close call.... ...who knows maybe Jan sales might get me them at half the price.
Oh and still no payment from the extra works from horrible job:mad::mad:

Safehouse how very kind of you, I am so pleased to help anyone else in their MS ways.

I'm really glad you got the 16 hours extra, and that the current account is well stocked up from the money swapping around. I feel we are similar in that I am always thinking what's best for my situation too. For example my accountants bill is due in March. It's £800. I have no rent to pay for the next two months because it gets paid over 10 months at the landlord's preference. So my brain has been rolling it around thinking is is better to throw everything at the CC to clear it, then put the new accountants bill on there at 0% and push to clear it sooner in 2017/ save for the next one, etc etc....or save as much for the accountants bill between now and March, which in theory ought to be easy with no rent (rent is £750 per month) so 1 month of no rent should pay the bill! But Jan is looking quiet, although Feb is very busy...blah blah sorry to hijack you

I'm sorry you still haven't had that money through, some people are just beyond belief!

Hmmm difficult one Bobs, thinking I would go with the saving option whilst you have a couple of easier months and you can, takes the pressure off having that safety net, especially if your a worrier like me Lol......totally understand were you are coming from as regards to accountant bill ours was £800 last year, should really look at other company's for cheaper quote, but simply find it so hard to change having used the same accountant for years and he does give us a few extra weeks if we are struggling to get the payment together. Always mean to put a few pounds away each week over the year for when dreaded invoice plops through the door, but never do.........
Took a silly back step today, found those boots from yesterday on Teabay £30 cheaper and after twisting and turning all morning have just bought them..upside OH and DS have said they will make payment and my Xmas pressie is all done. Still feeling very guilty as I never spend so much money on myself, they will put everything else I am wearing to shame Lol.
Business account still looking very raw and with 2 very large merchant invoices to pay on Monday I am hoping the pennies will stretch.Refuse to touch current account cash for DD .
OH working today and should be getting a good payment to help along with any short falls....so will delay the worry until Monday.
Oh dear seem to have eaten almost half big bag of jelly babies and now feeling quite sickly so off to make a nice brew, not sure why I seem to think that might help but cant make me feel any worse I'me sure.

Thanks for your advice Safehouse I hope the BA holds up for those payments on Monday. I also know what you are feeling there. The drawing a line in the sand, only to be pulled over it yet again by some erroneous business bill. Grrrr.....

I'm at work, just sitting down properly for the first time all day. Have taken £70 cash today, plus the booking fee paid a few months back. I have to be back here again at 9am to let the next people in, whizz home, do some shopping for the afternoons event then go back for that! It's a killer. But I am not working next weekend really, and my lovely family popped in twice today so I don't feel I've missed out on them so much.

Don't feel too bad about the boots. Or the jelly babies!

Mondays invoices better than I thought between £700-£800 short, now I have been thinking and as I have been throwing quite a lot of our cash into our current account to cover all DD for the next few months, the reality is I could transfer one months cash from current to business and we would be back on a even keel with business up to date and monthly DD still being a month ahead.....but don't want to, enjoying having a nice healthy fat current account for once, with the added reassurance instead of the usual and trying to keep out of the overdraft. Anyway my plan is to now throw cash at business account until it fattens up to match my healthy current account... in theory sounds good to me, now just need to put plan into action.
After standing in a very busy shopping area for 3 hours DS collected more than £50 for his charity shop, met up with him soon after and his ears and nose were bright red, but far from complaining he was grinning from ear to ear, the sense of achievement is wonderful to see...... but something he said has really struck a chord with me..." just think if I was still on that horrible Uni course, I wouldn't have been able to collect this money to help the charity :A" .feeling very proud once again. I am one very lucky Mama :D.
Found a pound under the bed today :T, free cuppa in town in the morning.
Used subbyway points for free sandwich today for DS well appreciated.:D
Received £14 toppycash points from various Xmas spends just needs to change from pending to authorized and will transfer. :)
Made a lovely Tuna bake for tea, flung in spring onions, peppers, sweetcorn, tomatoes (all nearing their bin me stage) but rather throwing them out, took a leaf out of Bobs diary and have been using everything in fridge this week trying not to waste food has given me a good feeling.
Still paid nothing into mortgage yet but should have a few pennies next week.
Wonder if I could grab a little shut eye before OH gets home from work.............;)
