Ooo also I have found a business account that will give 25 months free banking. I hope to have it transferred by the new year which would save me at least £20 a month in charges. Might be worth a thought?

Arghhhhhh awake since 5am ....terrible night bad dreams, more stress dreams than nightmares, but horrible just the same. I also seem to have fallen into a bad habit and pattern of waking and then worrying over everything and nothing until I get out of bed.............not really sure what the trigger is, but I know I will drive myself around the bend before long......there we go moan out the way, getting on my own nerves this morning so moving on......................................;)
Some very good news yesterday....OH has had a very healthy estimate excepted (almost £600 profit) will really pull our business account out of the red :j.....especially as still not paid by horrible job. Also another customer gave the go ahead on a recent estimate for next week....so fingers crossed that things are finally turning around especially this time of the year when things normally slow down :)
Meeting my beautiful DMama this morning for nice cuppa then have a quick walk around our local flea market, then work till 4 today. DS has a deserving day off work so he will probably sleep half the day. University will probably start kicking up a fuss very soon so not sure what will happen there....could do with some advice...does anyone know of anyone on this site who could help surrounding student advice finance etc and the like on this site?, maybe he should make an appointment with CAB....here I go again back on the worry track, hmmm maybe I should take up yoga Lol
Will make a second cuppa instead and relax :D
Ending on a brighter note expecting some overtime next week so can finally pay into my recently forgotten mortgage account...

    CC B £1,550/ CC S £1,700...£3,250 total …. Mortgage £100,000 /£69,150 paid £30,850 remaining

  • Home and feet up at last.........but no milk , text OH to bring some in with him later , in need of a nice cuppa at the moment, hope he's not working to late.
Almost managed a no spendy day today then found myself in Argosy on the way home and have bought myself one of those new JML irons :o, naughty I know, but had a £10 voucher and truth is just couldn't resist.Still only ended up costing me £24.99 can't be bad and might make getting through that dreaded pile a little easier. Shouldn't really be spending with the uncertainty of how long my job will last after Xmas, but something will turn up....I hope ;)
Hmm Country french chicken simmering in slow cooker.......my best buy of 2016, don't know what I would do without it.
  • Just popped in for a catchup, things seem to be on an even keel for you. Hope the job news is good, a few weeks after I left my last place, my whole department got made reducndant, after the initial shop, everyone has now found other jobs, in many cases, better jobs and bettter paid, one door closes and another opens and all that.
Hope your dreams turn good too.
Pleased to hear DS is happy and fullfilled x

Mortgage on the way up again with £200 paid in this morning at long last :T
Horrible job still with-holding over £1,200 in payment, without the slightest legitimate excuse.on their part (ignoring phone-calls, texts, numerous invoices) if they have an issue why cant they just pick up the phone?....the stress and headache that job has brought and now they wont pay for all the extas they promised, how I wish we had had a time machine or crystal ball when considering taking that job on. What gets me so angry is when I look at our business account glowing red and the worry when having to use monies from other jobs to play catch up (robbing peter to pay paul)....when we would have had and should have a very healthy business account at the moment..these people are sooooo without morals, the sad thing is one of them is a solicitor and we believe she is using her position and profession as a way of intimation and getting out of paying, I also don't believe we are the first she has done this to and certainly won't the last ( will be making these peoples names known to as many tradesmen as possible as a warning)....anyway nothing we can do, small businesses as always lose out in situations like this, its a fact really with all the hassle and payment of small claims courts...sometimes not worth it, for what they consider smaller amounts.......Moan and groan well needed and over for now Lol.:mad:
My job coming to end finally confirmed in writing yesterday end of January 17..........seem to have stuck head firmly in sand and leaving it there for a little while, or until I can focus and face it....fresh start and hoping for better outlook next year.:D
off into town this morning, grab a few last pressies and see my Dmamma which always cheers me up :D

Safehouse I am so sorry that you are still owed so much money. It's vile when you try to resolve things and get stone walled.
Are you going to go down the small claims route?
You do hear of builders doing things like removing materials from non paying customers, in any way they so wish...not that I advocate that of course but I'd be sorely tempted.
I have had the same problem in the last week where my own payments are due on the business side but the clients I have were not paying on the day I had stipulated at the time of the agreement. Thankfully I am straight again now. But the risk is always there of non payers and I am finding that stressful and looking for ways to mitigate it happening again. In my case I can't bill people 100% upfront, and any small business needs to be friendly and flexible to do well with people, so marching in on day 1 demanding payment for the rest seems ridiculous. Or on day 5. Hard nut to crack.

  • Yes....so very true Bobs, will definitely be going down small claims route, will wait till after Christmas and get the ball rolling need to make sure have followed all guidelines before we can do this but I feel determined this time round they are not getting away with this, also have been passing their name and address onto fellow company's....will blacken their name so they will find it very difficult to employ future tradesmen with the intention of ripping them off also..........Whew....beyond annoying, glad to hear that you have received your payments gives you peace of mind I know x
