Up early....feeling a little better, still annoyed with OH but will be happier when Monday morning is that bit nearer.........:o
Its times like these I look back on my savings/ security for our future that it brings and it gives me a sense of pride and relief for how far I have come...........
Day out planned with DS...whom yesterday was over shadowed..... I forgot to mention he received a very good congratulations letter from university of acceptance offering him an extended Degree course of choice over the next 2 years and nearer to home....shame for DS as his happy news all seemed to get side tracked due to OH and his issues as usual..
Meeting my beautiful Dmama also this morning for coffee and then trawl through a few charity shops, with treat sandwich from Subbyway..why not?, Diet has gone to pot anyway yesterday and in need of some comfort food Lol.
Need to phone boss later today ...he was offering overtime last week and I stupidly turned it down, after yesterday I have had a serious re think and have decided to take on as much as I possibly can..all good to throw at my mortgage and CC....:)
Shower time ....Hope everyone has a lovely weekend Xx0 -
Yes there is plenty of good...Thanks Bobarella your post made me smile....:)
Forgot to mention lots of love although slightly misguided and erratic at times I am still very lucky/grateful for that. Coping with someone with an addiction sometimes makes you lose sight of what you have....and I don't mean the material things
night night Bobarella Xx
I do hope it didnt sound too Pollyanna of me. I do know what it can be like. I had a close family member who drank. It leaves a mark.
Huge congrats to your son that is excellent. Enjoy your day out." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

I am one of those plastic families that you mentioned - my DH has depression and for a long time I kept it hidden and would make excuses for him but a few years ago I stopped pandering to him and telling people the truth about why I was not out with him. I even took the kids out on my own to a boating lake - that was a laugh when I can't even row!!
DH has improved a lot now he knows I won't make excuses.
Also he has emotionally cheated on me in the past - apart from my diary on here, my best friend and the relate counsellor no one knows. I nearly left him before he got ill in 2011 with neuro issues but I stayed and have a plan to leave when our DD is 18 so 5 more years to go.
There is this front we put on for others who think we have an amazing family and a great life - we do have a great life but no one knows how I feel inside.
I am so glad we have our diaries to vent on - it certainly helps me.
Great news on DS and his results. My DS has his results and is off to Uni next month - it's a lot of change as he is going miles away from us.
Hope you have a great Saturday and get some bargains!!0 -
Thanks for your reply EE..........looks like we have quite a lot in common, you also seem to have had things really tough, but like me you have a future plan. I totally agree about our diary's helping us to vent....my gosh I do it enough Lol........by the way I also absolutely love Elephants

Good luck bargain hunting sounds like your place will be looking fab.
Great news for your son but bad news for the slip up with OH. You mentioned drinking early in the day I would say watch up for drink driving or working whilst drunk could seriously impact your life if he lost his license. I'm not trying to be negative but mine lost his license and he was drinking during the day between deliveries something I had no idea off.
As for Eager Elephant hugs to you sounds like you've found a happy medium by telling everyone but as for waiting until child is 18 I disagree kids will cope and they want to see their mum happy. Just think about it.
Hugs to you all I'm off to the tip again.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Hi TG, Thankyou, I have always preferred to buy second hand. I like to keep busy or should I say keep my mind busy. As regards to the morning drinking, at the moment this is only happening at the weekend when he knows he doesn't have to drive but you are soo right.. OH already lost his license around 6 years ago but he has it back now, did scare the cr*p out of him at the time ...so worn that t-shirt and the worry of it happening again is always there.
Also I'd like to apologize for not popping in more regular to say hello...when I read your initial post of what had happened with your ex DH it knocked me for six and I couldn't stop thinking about you....I see so many similarities in our lives and as mine is still ongoing I keep worrying the same fate is awaiting me with my OH ................Lots of Hugs back to you TG you really have been coping wonderfully but be careful you dont over do things, take some time out for you and DG XX0 -
Had a smashing day at carbooty with Dsis, took sandwiches, drinks, sweet's and crisps...keeping us away from those dreaded burger vans. Managed to get some MP3 speakers unused and still boxed only £1 best bargain of the day...also bought 2 dec storage tins really nice design...not needed, so not sure what to put in them but couldn't resist again for only £1. 2 very nice ladies tops one from M&Spencys only £2........:T
Happy for Monday morning - although quite a good weekend in all, watching OH can be beyond draining, still feeling much more relaxed/positive this morning. Have been awake since 5.20, so gave up just before 6 got up, loaded dishwasher, put slow cooker on chicken breasts....not exactly sure what I will be doing with them later when cooked, moved on to cleaning kitchen work surfaces and feeding doggydo.
A rainy day here - tip, tapping at my window.....Love it
My head is full of lists about constructive things which need doing this week phoning work re- overtime at the top of the list.
Have 2 house cleans today but not until 11.30 this morning....cold empty properties but with my new speakers and my music blasting I will soon work up a sweat
Sorry about being so happy about Monday mornings & raindrops ....seem to have things topsy turvy- so heres hoping this Monday morning is not so Bla and the weather is much better for anyone reading this! x0 -
£120 all paid into CC I have amazed myself Lol.................
Bingo night tonight....need a win, even a tiny win..... have only left myself £10 challenge to get me through the week.
New gas/elect DD came in at £143 a month combined ....I have been paying £150 a month throughout the summer months, playing catch up from an under estimated winter 2015 .. not what I was hoping for, still a saving of £7 a month better than an increase.
Both house cleans done and dusted also overtime sorted for the next 6 weeks..hope I can manage, I do tend to put myself in these predicaments but have DS to help if it becomes to much (not that I've told him yet)
Raindrops stopped falling and I cant stop yawning....ready for lovely nap time

Had a visit from the council re the over grown trees and the moany neighbor...told him we had cut back quite a lot of the trees and showed him the massive pile of branches to prove it, he seemed happy enough but the best part of his visit is he has offered us a free scheme run by the council were-as volunteers will come and cut back the trees they will even supply a skip to take all the garden refuse away......Thankyou mr Grumpy neighbor done us a massive favor........coming back tomorrow to work out a plan of action:D.
