I threw the ironing basket away years ago. I use one of those big strong shopping bags to hang the washing out and then the bag gets folded up and put away in a drawer. As soon as the washing comes in it gets folded and put away, any ironing is done straight away. It really works.

I am getting sick of the teenagers not turning up for meals and not letting me know. We need a new rule on this I think. Anyone want some chicken and leek pie, potatoes and veg before the dog gets it?

I have had a frustrating afternoon trying to sort emails and phone calls. None of which has really worked out. Sigh.

    Off to sort the kitchen.

Must be something about chicken and leek pie. I got in from S/W tonight ( don't ask) to find DS asleep and his tea uneaten. He has since eaten it, but his attitude annoys me.

Bit of froggy nibbling done tonight and some stuff printed out for various travels.
Underlay now in NDN bin, bless him, he even offered to lift the bags out for me :A
Just having some fruit and yoghurt then I'll do another coat of paint on the mirror. Mop head is in the WM with a lot of bleach - was rather yucky!
Told kids we have garden jobs to do tomorrow- DS said he will put all the weeds in his trailer (he has one of those pedal tractors) and take them to the brown bin :) :A

I have sort of drifted about today doing bits and pieces. Nothing major as I can't remember what! I did get OH to sort out the books by his side of the bed to sell or donate so the bedroom looks a bit better. Once the 2 huge piles go it will look even better.

OH and I have day out planned for tomorrow on our own, the boys are staying at home. We are going to Leyburn where we were going to take the caravan for a few days but ds1 has GCSE revision classes in school and also needs the internet for revision so it didn't seem a sensible time to go. A day out will be nice though and we are going to call in and see a couple we met on the site last year. I may do a bit of flying before we go.

YL and CY the thing that really annoys me with our teenagers is when you say tea is ready and it takes ages for them to come to the table:mad:

House is looking quite presentable for a change but really need to do some sorting and flinging! Even cleaned the living room windows, although could only do the inside as couldn't find the window key! But they look so much better.

Most of list done and even swept and mopped the ktchen floor while I had the Hoover out!

Tomorrow I need to sweep and mop hall floor!

DS decuttered to work, he has a shift tonight and one tomorrow so they give him a room! It's a pub/hotel! And the manager picks him up and brings him back!

Dad decuttered to uni; got there and used her en suite - a sardine-sized silverfish ran across the floor to meet my shoe and its fate!
    And she's scared of spiders!

Mum and dad came, mum had her eye on the car boit stuff donated by sis , took a few things and asked what I wanted for them! Obvs can't charge my mum so she now has 4 individual ceramic pie dishes and a faux leather box to store cards in!
