Tesco done. I had a voucher for £6 off a £40 shop. Didn't need a lot so bought ds1 some new pyjamas (he is 6 and a half and his 6-7 ones are looking quite small so 7-8 ones bought. He is growing up too fast!) also went to buy razor blades for OH. But when I went to look at his razor I was shocked how grubby it was so a new razor was bought which was on offer! Then bought a few other bits that were on offer/ I only get from tesco. So £40.49 spent. Result! 34.49 with voucher!
Also dropped some flowers over to a friend of ours. She was marshalling at a race yesterdY and somebody assaulted her because he wanted to get through! She spent the say in a and e being stitched up and is recovering at home today! Bl**dy morons!
Anyway, lunch decluttered, now going to bake cakes with ds1!

Frizzle that's disgraceful :( what is the world coming to? Hope he gets his comeuppance :(

Well I have mopped  and my LR looks nice (no kids here to litter toys around - for now) and I painted a second coat on the mirror - it's going from pine to white so might need another coat.

Bins go out tonight and I might ask next door if I can put my underlay in theirs - they have a huge bin for just 2 adults and have offered in the past if mine is full...

FIL has just called he's booked my car in for its MOT and is coming tomorrow to fit the new blind for the spare room. While he's drilling I might ask for a spare hole for a hook for the aforementioned mirror!

The spare room is going to be lovely - I bought a sweet little clock for it this morning, and there is a new headboard and mattress on its way too. There is new bedding waiting to be opened - so I'll do all that tomorrow night.

Think I'm going to put my feet up for an hour now...

Bossy- he has been arrested for gbh :T

Two coffee and walnut cakes made. Never tried the recipe before so hope they turn out o k! I don't even like coffee cake so I can't even sample them.
But more walnuts, plain flour, light brown sugar and eggs used up. All of which I have huge stocks of! The lain flour and eggs were close/ past best before date so glad to get rid of them. I have two more packs of walnuts to use up before September! AlThough delias tea loaf seems to be going down a storm and have been using them in that!

Random question- I have o.o.d. Bicarbonate of soda in my cupboard. Can I use it for a cleaning purpose? It's just sat there!

I am off to clean some windows!!!

    Did zumba.
Had friend round to lunch so did a quick whiz of everywhere visible, made some soup and with a great feat of willpower (as she is on a get-fit drive and I certainly don't need more calories) I made a fruit salad rather than cake.

She's just gone so remaining tasks today are:
    - final check of report, then email it
    - get birthday card ready to post tomorrow
    - garden list
    - need to check through 'to do' list on OUtlook as it is getting long again where I've marked emails
    - organise this month's uni pay claim for meeting tomorrow
    - organise uni end of year records for meeting

Don't see how it can deteriorate unless it's got wet; it's chemical!

Nipped to the shop and bought a couple of things. Just about to throw the dinner in my Jamie Oliver and then I'm quitting so i can have a wee chill before I go do the paid stuff :(

If you're stuck for names I suggest - Pierre, Xavier, Clothilde, Francoise, Marie-Claire and similar French names - damn that autocorrect :rotfl:

:pi hate autocorrect. The macaroons are made and cooling, the first tray look more maimed than anything but are edible and very nice. Realised that I hadn't taken fan assisted into account on the timings so second tray look much better.

Frizzle. Glad the scumbag has been arrested, I hope your friend will be alright
