I can just picture the scene when the guy came back after his...ablutions.

    OP: Hi.
    Bloke: Hi...
    *heavy silence*

OP: Did you...did you just have a shower?
Bloke: *long pause* yes, yes I did.

    *Awkward silence*

OP: Right. I'll see you at work tomorrow then, shall I?
Bloke: Sure. Thanks for the...coffee. And, you know. The shower.
    OP: Right. Bye then.

Bloke gets out, with OP's eyes on his back the whole way, the door closes.

OP, now alone, still clutching her cup of long cold coffee: !!!!!! just happened???

I've had really good friends and family staying at my house and they've still asked before they use the shower. The more I think about this the weirder it gets - you just don't do this!

There's a world of difference between offering someone a drink out of politeness as they're doing you a favour, and getting your kit off uninvited. A world of difference.

I'm another one to vote on the pervert thing. It is very weird. I ask before taking a shower in anyones house - my mum's my best friends, anyone's. Let alone a work colleague I barely know.

Weird weird weird. I'd disinfect the whole thing, and I'd be very wary about him afterwards and at least make a note of it in my work diary, in case something came of it later.

    Bit freaked out now.

Me too! Glad it's not just me who thinks he may be a bit of a perv.

    What utterly bizarre behaviour!

Really? Maybe I'm a fusspot but I'd always use shower shoes or beach shoes when using public showers. Verrucas are mingin'!

ETA I always clean public loo seats with an anti-bac wipe before I park my botty on them too :rotfl:

    That's really anal!;)
