What would you do?

What is your relationship like with him at work? Are you normally quite close? (in the sense of working closely together, sharing confidences, laughing about other colleagues etc). Do you consider him a work "friend"?
If not, then personally, I wouldn't mention it to him at all but I would speak to someone at work, his boss or HR or someone. Even if he had an "accident", not mentioning the shower is just weird, he could be one of those stalker types who thinks that now that he has used your shower, it means that you're best buddies and that he can call round at all hours of the day and night. This is strange behaviour at best. Even my closest friends or my family members wouldn't just take a shower at my place without asking me, it's very odd! If he is a good work friend, then of course you should mention it. He may just have very poor manners, in which case, he needs to be told. As marleyboy said, suppose your partner came home and found a male work colleague in your shower? I know my husband wouldn't be very happy!
And I definitely wouldn't have him in the house again. If he needs to pick anything up, give it to him at the door!"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
To be honest I paced my towel, toothbrush head, face cloth, medicated face soap, bath creme and vaseline in a carry bag and threw them in the bin.
I don't know him that well and he has a strange rash. I'm not a doctor and I don't know what it is. It could be just eczema, but I'm not willing to take chances with my stuff.
I'm sorry if I've offended anyone.
Oooooh quite an extreme reaction...
Can't say I blame you really though...
I don't think you would have offended anyone. I would imagine many people doing the same.fairy_lights wrote: »Well presumably the strange guy would ask before putting his appendage in your mouth? Well exactly! (appendage???!! :rotfl: )barbiedoll wrote: »What is your relationship like with him at work? Are you normally quite close? (in the sense of working closely together, sharing confidences, laughing about other colleagues etc). Do you consider him a work "friend"?

I agree - especially with the bit I've bolded.
As for your last sentence though, I think that's what the OP did, but he asked to use the loo, and then used her shower! :eek:cooeeeeeeeee :j :wave:0 -
Did he mutter 'where's the watering can' on the way out? If he's used to certain practices, toilet tissue would be foreign to him.Yes he was born in another country. He did ask to go to the toilet as I pointed it to him and I'm sure I remember him opening the door before I went out back to the kitchen.
Now I'm thinking on perhaps it's a religious thing.0 -
Am I the only one thinking he may be a bit of a pervert, and he may have wiped all his private bits on the OP's towel and toothbrush and all sorts as some pervy turn on?
Or maybe he may have been doing things to himself in there whilst thinking of her???
OMG, the mind runs wild!
Sorry Yvonne..
I think you really have to say something to him.
Take him aside, and ask him why he had a shower in your house when he just asked to use the loo. Just say 'I am really pernickety about who uses my bathroom, and I have a bit of OCD, and I really wonder why you used the shower?'
Not sure telling the boss is the way to go.... not at this stage anyway...cooeeeeeeeee :j :wave:0 -

Wasn't there a thread on here some years ago about a stranger knocking on a poster's door, asking for the loo and then having a bath?
Not the same as a work colleague I know but honestly! I spend all day visiting people in their homes and I sometimes have to ask to use their loo. I hate doing it and I end up spending half of the visit expressing sincere gratitude and apologising for having to ask! :rotfl:"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
Take him aside and deliver a fast kick to the dangly bits whilst shouting 'you liberty taking bas*ard' would be more appropriate.fierystormcloud wrote: »

I don't have any type of relashionship with him, at best it's hi and bye.
I'm not going to mention it to anyone at work not even HR. I don't think it's an HR issue. Forevermore I could be at fault for inviting him in for a hot drink instead of making him wait on the door step. It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0 -

Sorry didn't realise you asked him in for a drink. Sorry. Do what you think is best hun.

Nail on head QS! :rotfl:
Sorry again Yvonne.

Do you do this when you use public lavatories like pubs/shopping centres etc?
anti bac gel.... loads of it. Flush the loo and open doors with clean tissue. If the doors open outwards then push with my arm if not open normally and out comes the anti bac gel again. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
