What small change do you want from the new government?

Banks should make customers fully aware of bereavement rules, and not wait til the customer is dead before telling the next of kin about them.
Each bank has a different limit (Ranges from £100 to £30k) before they demand probate, which costs £200+.
Why not let each customer sign a form at each bank to indicate who can access the money on death?
Make banks obey the law, which states widows should inherit without cost or hindrance.0 -
The government should compel all new builds to have solar panels. A good portion of the cost of installation is the scaffolding, which is already in place. Over a period of time the energy saving would be significant.0

Different banks have different rules on how much a deceased customer can have in an account before they demand probate, which costs £200+.
Banks should be upfront about the amount, as they are with interest rates, and not wait to just tell the NoK.
Customers should be able to nominate the NoK in advance that the banks hand the money over to. This would avoid unnecessary stress, hassle and cost.
Banks should be made to stick to the law, which states that "widows are entitled to their inheritance without cost or hindrance".0 -
The people should be made aware of the "fact" that there is no law which states that men and women have to pay income tax. The statute uses the term "persons" which when checked using the definitions act states "a person is a body corporate or unincorporate". Don't take my word for it check it out for yourself. Tax is a voluntary payment and that is why it's referred to as contributions. ALL TAX collected goes to The Vatican and the Rothschilds in a 60/40% split respectively. But of course you wont hear this from the mainstream media.0

Auctions can be a good way of saving money, but it can be difficult to work out how much you are spending when the auction house adds a buyer's premium of anything from 15-25% (+VAT) onto your winning bid. Bids should be inclusive of buyer's premium.0

Churches should pay tax. If they take up land, profit upon weddings and events, collections etc. they should be classed as a business and pay tax. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Scrap income tax, council tax and the myriad of other taxes and instead collect all revenue from an enhanced rate of VAT. Nobody then escapes paying towards the upkeep of this country.0

Publicise, thank and generally make a fuss of those individuals and businesses paying the most income tax each year.
By making an example of those who don’t aggressively avoid tax, high-earning individuals will be rewarded by the warmth and respect of the nation.
Businesses may find that sales increase as people are happy to support those bearing their share of the burden as well as receiving the benefits of our regulatory regimes and educated, talented workforce.0 -
When applying for jobs, the applicant has to repeat the same basic information over and over which is a wast of time even when the applicant is copying and pasting from his or her CV. The vast majority of a job applications are identical to any other, so either the applicant should be allowed to apply using just a CV & covering letter answering any specific questions the employer wants to know, or there should be a universal job application format or a central database which potential employers can access with the consent of the applicant.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. And 2 part-time jobs should also count as 1 in government "job creation" statistics0
