Thank you for all the welcome messages! I'm not a 'real' newbie - more a lapsed poster!:D

I've had a very pleasant day. A couple of hours on the allotment this morning, and then a lazy afternoon pottering in the garden. With three teenagers who just need large quantities of food, a Playstation and the charger for their phones/I-Pods, life is not as demanding as when they were smaller. But more expensive.

Will try to pop in more often!

I have a nice MIL......... my DH has teh nasty one! My mum is a trial to her family........ her friends think she is SO nice. But with family, she expects everythign her own way, expects to be waited on hand + foot; throws temper tantrums that put a 'terrible 2' to shame, plays favcourites........ you get the idea.

Well, i am now on holiday for 2 weeks, HURRAH!!! I am sat here with my back door open watching a squirrel run around my lawn - i think because i have cut it today, hes looking to see if he can find any of the many nuts he burried in it last winter!!!

We dont have anything planned for my 2 weeks off, but i am just looking forward to not having to get up at 6 in the morning every day, and being able to mouch around with my children, and be there for them when they want me, not when ive finished sorting out the LOs.

Good evening all.............just back from our supper out which was enjoyed by both of us..........I had rump steak with all the trimmings and OH gammon steak with pineapple and fried egg........and all for £10 not bad at all. DD text me to say she would be over during the weekend...............my friend gave me a lovely card and a little present which was very kind of her, so I have cards all along the window cill.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes, sorry I could not eat all the cake myself, so you will have to share it out...........mind you I am not sharing the very nice bottle of wine OH has just opened for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The end of a busy, battling week in many ways for me, hope to have a quieter life next week, although I am meeting a friend from Canada on Friday to go to an exhibition, and the week after we are off to France for a couple of days.

Lottie calls in the morning...............various jobs need doing, not least of all watering since we have had the sunny weather................

Evening all!

I'm one of those who has been watching-have been trying to sort my life out. Mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer (2nd time) the other week so am still getting my head around it... or attempting to! And trying not to get myself depressed about everything!

Have started cooking up and freezing things, although yesterday the freezer wasn't shut properly and things started defrosting.... arghh! So I then spent two hours sorting it out, sticking stuff in the fridge (if they could be salvaged) and cooking loads of meat.... cooked loads of mince and spiced and passata'd it, then tubbed, cooled and froze it! I was so stressed out and the last thing I wanted to eat after that was our planned dinner-beef burritos! So I ate one with lots of salad.

Have been feeling nauseous all day and really don't feel like cooking, so OH will have to have beans on toast for dinner or something!

Ive had a really lazy piggy day here today. Hospital visit went as expected but was actually seen before the due time which is very unusual. Speaking of hospitals - sharronlovestospend - my DD has reflux problems which affects her bladder - its quite a common problem but one of those that not many people talk about ifkwim.

Anyway after hospital popped into my mums for a cuppa then round old friends. Once dd had been with her friend for a few minutes they were getting on like a house on fire. We then all went to the Harvester for dinner and it was lovely - even had dessert which is unsual for me. Drove home feeling very stuffed. Didnt want any tea so just had a mars bar! I always put on weight in the school holidays and as I already had put some on when I broke my wrist earlier this year things are not good:rotfl:

Anway when I walked in the house I walked straight out past the housework, washing and ironing and sat in the garden all afternoon think I had a little doze too.

So plan is a little surf, early night (will watch last nights spendaholics) so can get up mega early tomorrow morning and get loads done before it gets too hot. Need to wait in in the morning for a collection hope it comes early as want to get out on the boat as its meant to be really hot tomorrow.

So sitting her feeling quite bloated and incredibly lazy....oh well it is the holidays.

afraid since coming back from weekend with DS have lapsed here but will try harder.HELLO HUGS AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY all!!
I have been busy today after a slow start-didnt dress till 11.30!!Done 3 loadswashing,cookd 2 shepherds pies one for tea and one to freezer.Also picked courgettes and tomatoes and made big pan ratatoille for freezing.visited friend and did Mr T coupon shop.
Feelingreally tired -fibromyalgia playing up -heat always seems to make me worse but determined to keep going.
Sad but next is bath and watch Big Brother!

sharon and essex-girl my darling nephew was diagnosed with kidney reflux not long after he was born. When his bladder was too full, the wee refluxed back up to his kidneys. He has been on antibiotics since he was about 7 days old and will be on them until he is about 5. He leads the full and active life any 3-year-old should. The treatment is out there (if the doc wants to find it).

sharon didn't realise you also had fibromyalgia. Well, you really have your hands full, girl! (There isn't an admiration smiley or I would insert one here) Enjoy your bath and vegging in front of Big Brother.

Well, the carpet cleaner has made s*d-all difference that I can see - unless the cleaning fairies come in and do another shift tonight. :rolleyes: Glad I only paid the 24-hour hire instead of the weekend hire rates.

Tomorrow's plans are - not very much to be honest. I have had such a busy week I reckon I deserve at least one day of doing s*d-all.

Ex-partner flew out to Vietnam yesterday. Is it wrong to pray for typhoons? I don't doubt that he will find a Vietnamese woman who is "madly in love" with him and *really, really, really* wants him to move back to the UK. :rolleyes: Let's hope he gets EXACTLY what he deserves. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Is anyone else being invaded by teeny-weeny fruit flies??? They are driving me up the wall!!!!! I'm sure for everyone I kill, another three appear. :mad:

Evening all.
Well what a fantastic lovely day it has been
Iv done not a flipping lot!!! 3 loads of washing done and dried on line, dh painted front door and then i have sat in sun for the rest of the day, have put pool up ready for tommorow as forcast says its going to be red hot!! So i may even have a dip myself.
Even found time in my busy sunbathing session to enjoy a chat and drink (alcoholic of cause!) over the fence with crazychick. (thanks for loan of second hosepipe fills pool up so much quicker!)
Had tea at 8pm!!! Really know we are chilling out as tea is always ready at 5 on the dot!
Just having five on pc before watching some csi with a glass of champers bought for our wedding anniversary last week!!
Oh i hope this week never ends!!LOL
