Hi, this is the Daily Thread for xx (add date). This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

What a beautiful morning :T The rest of the Penguins are back later today, so afternoon in the garden, then either a barbeque or the cinema (the Small ones want to see Simpsons - I've heard lots of good reports). It's our 17th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow, so think we might save the barbeque till then.

I've been down to let out the chooks and found that I must have stepped in some poo in the garden last night    It's not ours (IYSWIM  ) as we don't have dogs or cats. It's dried on, so I'm finding it really difficult to get out of the cleats of my sandals. Soaking them in warm water now, then it'll be bleach.

I have 2 silk waistcoats to make for DH and DS, so will be starting on them later.

Rzl - I love that dress. In the office we have a tradition of *Frock Wednesday* where trousers are forbidden :T . There's only one bloke in our office, and we keep trying to get him into a kilt ;) It's great, as being a charity we tend to dress down, so a weekly opportunity to make a bit more effort is lovely. For some reason *Push-up bra Thursday* and *Novelty Sock Tuesday* haven't caught on so well

Jackie O - still thinking of you.

Have a great day, Penny. x

Edit - N9eav - where did you spring from ;)

Morning. Seems a bit quiet here today. I am just getting ready for work and then off to sunnt newquay. It's not a bad place to work, but too darn busy. Could not even get to the office yesterday. Queues a mile long.

Some surfing festival is on and so the town is full. Pity there is no surf!!:rotfl:
Great for fishing though, flat calm.

Well have a nice day y'all

Well someone has to decide to carry on somewhere, so here it is, I am sure the mods will merge later.

Morning Pen-Pen, N9eav and all who follow.

((Hugs)) and prayers for Jackie0, Pen-Pin, and anyone else in need.

Glad to see you standing up for yourelf Anniestar. The IT department at my old place knew that if they wanted any peace they fixed mine first!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Taplady - been there, know how you feel, last year got a call from my DS(21) to say he had had an accident, but was OK though shaken, we were in Paris with our 'van at the time. Though he said he had hit a bus, ended the call talking to DH to tell him and suddenly though, "oh heck hope no one on the bus was hurt" rang him back, no Mum it was a Bush (though more like a tree when I saw the photo's later) The car was a write-off. My first words were how are you? (and in my head s*d the car).

Had a quick PM from Amie yesterday she's Ok but a bit bushed and busy with all the birthday celebrations for DD.

Much of a muchness other than that so take care all.

Morning N9EAV and all who follow.

Sun is shining here - looks like a lovely day. WM is on, BM just about to go on. Plan for today is to go to the bank and then the Co-op for some shopping, come back and make cakes. Kitchen floor needs washing - I hate that job! - then I might mow the lawn. I couldn't be bothered yesterday!

AUSSIELASS - I don't think I would ever be tempted to buy something called 'Sanitariam' to eat! You were very brave to try it!

(((hugs))) to JackieO even though she won't read this - unless she's insisted the hospital installs an internet cafe!

(((hugs))) to everyone else in need.

AMIE - wondering where you are - I've missed your lovely cheerful posts.

Well, off to get a head start on some chores - see you later!

    Morning All

Up earlier than normal as DD has got her yearly checkup at a hosp 40 mins away at 9.25. They never do anything and we will probably be in there for 10 mins but never mind.

Popping in on my dd's old friend on the way back. Its hard though as DD has really outgrown this friend and they have different interests now but her mum asked us to pop round so we will. DS will be with us and I will have to keep him frm getting bored.

When get home hope to get some housework and ironing done so can really chill at the weekend, need also to work out some days out next week.

    Have a great day all.

    Morning all

Lovely sunny day again, amazing how much better everyone feels when it shines.

Went to my local post office yesterday , and they were closed - turns out there had been an attempted armed robbery  Don't think they got away with anything, but it must have been terrifying for the poor guy behind the counter

Shopping today and a nice lazy spa bol for dinner.

Lots and lots of hugs and best wishes to JackieO

Hope everyone has a good day x

it's a gorgeous day here on the isle of wight also.

i've got washing on line. it great my machine now mended. only without it for 3 days but felt a life time. thank goodness i have great neighbours.

we took the laminate up in our lounge last night as were gonna put solid wood down not the cheap laminate we had down. and when we put it down we laid it on the carpet. so pleased we did as we now have carpet to walk on. it don't look as bad as i rememebr. it really warm and snuggly. Anyway the laminate from the lounge and hall is going up in kids bedrooms. as there carpet is past it's best. so gonna do that tonight/tomoz. i have to work tomoz which is a shame as i want to get on. always the way.

I'm starting to think i need to go food shopping as have no fruit and hardly anything to have for meals. well i say that but i have loads of tins of random thing's. lol. i do however have 12 portions of chilli and 4 of spag bol in freezer but don't think i fancy living on that at mo. might make some biscuits or cake.

my son has been awake since half 4. runnign around his bedroom being a car. so feeling a bit like a zombiie at the mo.

    Breeki is cereal
lunch ~um maybe wraps not sure
Dinner ~ hm fish fingers and wedges. ( if i go and buy some spuds)

Enjoy ur day everyone. ((((hugs )))) to those who need them

    Enjoy ur day
