Morning All!
Woke up at 2 with elbow pain that made me cry. Had to get up and take a pill. Still, up now, and after more painkillers, it's not too bad!
Lovely day here in Hastings. Got South East Today coming to our town today, should be fun. It's the Hastings Carnival tomorrow, so if anyone wants a good day out, come down:rotfl:
Carnival starts at 5pm and there's a great firework display at 9pm.
We;ve had things on all week cos it's Old Town Week, which is a great time.:T Went to the High Street Traders party with DD and DS last night. Lots of food and music, wasn't a bad day!
DS finally dug the garden for me, and got up the rest of the potatoes!:rotfl:
Hope you all have a great day.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday casarina Hope you have a lovely day
Pooky :rotfl: :rotfl: I had to laugh at you describing what your DDs would pack. My DS and DD are the same. (btw I would look like as though I had a couple of bags of spanners under the dress if I had to wear it.)
thriftlady enjoy your last few hours of solitude. You won't know what's hit you when your dear family return.
CM I got up today to find that the timer on my boiler has stuck at 4.58am on Thursday. Messed about, switching it on and off to see if it would reset itself. Then called the number on the sticker for help. Advice given? Check the battery. So, I guess that's my first job when I get home today. Hope it works. Hope you get some hot water soon too.
Decided I'm going to hire a carpet cleaning machine this weekend as my living room carpet is looking very dull - not helped by DS spilling a drink every time he walks across the floor mind.
S'pose I should get back to work."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Morning everyone!
I'm one of the 86! I nip in now and then to catch up, but I've been so busy, I don't often find time to post.
Very busy gardening, once it stopped raining, trying to sort out the garden and the allotment. In between, sorting the house with Flylady, and running a taxi/fast-food/cash dispenser service for three teenagers...
DS1 (who was very ill with viral encephalitis Easter 2006) has managed to get through to the end of the school year, with only one more spell of almost being unwell - enforced rest for three days seems to have averted a full blown 'episode' (I love the doctors choice of this word to describe what can be a quite frightening time where he is not at all himself!). Extensive tests, examinations, and scans have revealed absolutely nothing, so we have to assume that it is just part of slow recovery. it seems to occur when he is tired or stressed or has an infection eg a cold. Maybe I shouldn't have let him go back to school at all last year, but everyone seemed to think it would be okay..ah well, can't change that now! At least we are beginning to work out how to cope with it.
I did a Return to Teaching course at the beginning of the year, and am looking for a post. I actually was shortlisted for interview at the end of June - and had to withdraw because I was struck down with some rotten tummy bug on the day...what bad timing, I'm hardly ever ill! I shall be carrying on with the gardening work until I find something. Must be a job out there somewhere with my name on!
Very best wishes to all those who are not well at the moment. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CSARINA - hope you have a wonderful day xxx0

Mornin' all,
Not a very lovely day here, too cloudy for my likeing. I had a good go at our bedroom yesterday so now I have a MASSIVE amount of washing to get through. Its so annoying only having a washer/dryer and no outside to hang washing out since I moved.
I am still ploughing through the bootfair things, got plenty of clothes to sell, OH protested but I managed to get rid of a lot of his oldest things he never wears. I had loads of clothes that I will never wear again so we should have plenty to sell and hopfully lots of money to be made
My mission for today is to carry on labeling and packing boot fair things and have a little tidy round. No inspiration for dinner yet, i'll get my thinking cap on.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all! A very happy birthday to Csarina :bdaycake: I hope you have a wonderful day.
Special thoughts to JackieO, I have my fingers and toes crossed, I so hope everything went well.
Hugs to PP, you poor thing, I hope you're feeling a bit better today.
One lot of towels already drying and another lot in the machine. Just trying to get everything done before we go away on Monday, but OH keeps 'forgetting' to make up his mind and choose what he wants to take with him, for some reason he doesn't care if his clothes are clean or not  .
Bought a nice sunhat in the Cancer Research shop in town yesterday for only £2.50, was really pleased as I'd spent the afternoon at the local shopping centre scouring the shops for one I liked without success. Bought some suncreams in Superdrug, all on BOGOF so all I have to do is find room in the suitcase.
Am off for a barbie tonight with my friends, really looking forward to that. Must pop out later for some flowers for the cook.
Have a lovely day everyone
