    Morning!
    lovely here at the moment!
am off soon to Morrisons to get some bits and pieces then have gardening and ironing to do , am working 32 hours over the weekend(sat, sun, mon)so dont get much chance to do anything at home.

Was a bit tearful yesterday as I had to say my goodbyes to the old chap I have been caring for for the last 17 years as he's moving away to a nursing home near his daughter(Harpenden)He's nearly 97 but still got all his marbles but he is nearly blind and very deaf now so I suppose its the best thing for him but i will miss him a lot.:(

DSs car is off the road after yesterdays bump, DH is going to look at it over the weekend and see how much damage he's done, could need a new bumper, bonnet and needs lights both sides! so not cheap!

Have a great day all and I'll see ya later xxx

    Morning all

Overcast and windy here this morning - supposed to be really lovely over the weekend though - Shez - they're saying 27/28 for this area tomorrow so you should be ok in Ramsgate...have fun.

Nothing exciting planned for today - DD's have promised they will clear out the dolls house - they don't play with it any more so it can go in the loft for now - I need to get them packed ready to go to my parents tomorrow - I would ask them to do it but they'll end up with 5 pairs of pj's, one pair of knickers, a winter coat and a necklace :D

Sofa covers were all washed yesterday so will be dry enough to go back on today - I hate that job - they always shrink that little bit and it's harder each time to stuff the foam back in.

Got to spend an hour training up a new moderator for freecycle at some stage today, just waiting to hear from her as to when she's available.

Best crack on or I'll stay in my pjs all day.

    Have a great one all..

p.s. Brzl - that dress was gorgeous - pity I'd look like something out of a potato farm in it.

Morning- hmm is there another thread? Must go look!
Well got a BRILL nights sleep after yesterdays cr*p one so feel human again:j

Found downside of new catflap. There's a strange white bit on it that surrounds the flap and moves a bit like a handle. Echo who is still confused by the new flap, sits outside and pulls on it, so it raps down. Lots of times. Would work as a door knocker if she didn't run away when I open the door!

Managed to do a little bit in the house this morning B4 putting the computer on and am going to turn machine off for the morning to do the carboot stuff I've avoided. Have to get it done B4 OH comes home to show willing. I think he's thinking we'll go on Sunday pm but if we're up I think we should go Sat am as weather may be better so car needs packing. Want to do that B4 neighbour gets home from work at 4ish too - don't like her knowing what we're up to! If she thinks we're out on the weekend she'll probably fiddle something at home.

Lost PKitty for 5 mins this morning. Was putting out the bin and last saw him in T&J garden next door looking at a bird (our 3 houses share one path away from our courtyard, and the gardens are off to the right from that). Turned and he was gone. So there's me looking in all 3 gardens, and going on the small road by the car park at the back (still in jammies and dressing gown) to get to the alley behind the gardens.... no PK! Came back in house in panic.... he'd only brought himself back in and was terrorising Auntie Echo-cat. :p Bet he'll be crying like mad when I don't let him out later!

Must go bath, water in fertiliser on lawn for OH and GET ON. Have a lovely day folks.

yes on the weather forecast it said that sat would be a better day on kent coast. We used to go there for our holidays every year andstayed in the Viking Caravan park in pegwell bay (now gone:o ). I do like to pop down now and again for nostalgia reasons and to see whats happening with the place!
Hard part is trying to keep the kidson the beach long enough before wanting to go on the amusements!:rotfl:

My week of peace and tidiness is drawing to a close:( The family are due back tomorrow.

I have to say have missed them, although I haven't missed some of the things they do IYKWIM -whinging, arguing, making the loo smell of wee, leaving piles of stuff everywhere (that's the kids- not OH).

So, I'm gearing myself up for a marathon laundry session when they get back and today I'm going to bake bread, rolls and muffins, make a batch of granola and some munchy seeds and cook a packet of kidney beans (chili tomorrow with cornbread).

It's this sort of cooking I've missed most this week. I like making quick, tasty suppers for myself, but what I really love is a session in the kitchen baking for my family whilst listening to a good audiobook :D
