Your strongest defense is it is not relevant land for POFA 2012 Schedule 4 to apply therefore as keeper you can not be held liable for the charge.

This sounds like great information - can I ask how you verified this and know it? I'll definitely include it in any appeal against them if they come after me.

If it did go further I'll make sure I provide all information I use in my case against them so other people on the forum can (hopefully) benefit if needs be. Sounds like for now I'll just ignore them, except to say once again that they are SCUM (just in case they read this post at any point in the future).

    Cheers guys

before you actually think of forming an action group .

the POFa clearly states parking only , however the DVLA are being paid by the scum and have said "security"

I seem to recall it started out as VCS, but then I started getting letters from Excel, then the ZZPS letters started, and finally the Right Hassle people started on my case. Does that make a difference? I'd forgotten as this has been going on for ages now, like 6-7 months.

VCS will not attempt going near any court in the context of airport roads. Just one judgment against them would threaten to bring their entire house of cards tumbling down, not only at JLA, but numerous other airports around the country where they operate on the same basis.

They have never taken an airport case to court, despite many, many motorists putting two fingers up to them. Wonder why? Do you honestly think you would be their first - EVER?

They have enough 'mugs', who are easily intimidated by all their threats, to pay up, without them taking the risk of losing their gravy plane!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

VCS do patrol Liverpool airport and yes the signs do say VCS - edit as Enfield Freddy has shown.

They seem to think though that they can issue paperwork using their sister company Excel.

They can't - only the company that has the contract with JLA can do that.

VCS and JLA are a very common post on this forum.

The land is subject to byelaws and therefore only a driver could be pursued but they don't know who that is and you are under no obligation to tell them.

You will need to do a bit of reading up of other cases and POFA 2012 Schedule 4 regarding keeper liability as it will take too long to try to explain it all in a post.

The information is all available for you. Take a bit of time togen up and it will all become much clearer.

Then come back on if you need further clarification

But yes IGNORE - you are too late now to have any appeal routes open - chances of court are non-existant

Only things to look out for are
a Letter Before Action issued by a real solicitor - come back on forum to check if in doubt and if you get one.
or real court papers but as said either of those will be highly highly unlikely

    It makes a HUMUNGOUS difference.

The general idea is that by reading the sign (which you obviously didn't because it's impossible to read from a moving vehicle) you entered into a contract with the company.

What company? The company named on the sign, obviously. Vehicle Control Services. So who the **** is Excel? OK, we all know that Excel is VCS' sister company, but that's irrelevant: they are separate legal entities and Excel can't claim damages against you for supposedly breaching a contract supposedly entered into by VCS, an entirely different legal entity.

As for ZZPS, they are yet another company again, just an irrelevant, poxy , toothless debt collector and they have no claim against you whatsoever either.

And if ZZPS has no claim against you then their supposed solicitors, Right Hassle, are simply p*****g in the wind. Except it's not Right Hassle at all, it's just ZZPS pretending to be Right Hassle and paying the pondlife so-called solicitors £2.50 or somesuch for each use of their letterhead.

    Capiche?

So, you ignore them all. Their case is so full of holes that basically they've got nothing against you.

have we seen vcs/excel using WH on JLA cases before?

I think we need to post a copy of the bylaws to WH quickly , and then stand back ,

did you receive an official "notification of assignment" from VCS to state that they had transferred/sold you alleged claim to another company? (excel) ,, different company number = different company , ugly or not

I for see problems with this company , if they are ever silly enough to bring this to court

without that piece of paper , you owe excel , ZZPS or WH nothing

not that you ever did ,,,,,,
