A fun poll for the Families board
What's the longest you've gone without your mobile phone?
It doesn't matter whether you lost it, left it at home, left it at a friends or something else - excluding while you've been sleeping what's your longest mobile phone detox?!?
If, like our very own Martin Lewis, you do lose your mobile regularly it may be worth checking out Mobile Phone Insurance.
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

Five or 10 minutes maximum. You can guarantee that if I put it down someone will ring me or send me a message so its at my side 24/7.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Doesn't bother me at all - it's either on my bedside table - as an alarm - or kicking about in the footwell of the car!0

I am a frequent user of my phone but genuinely couldn't care less if I am parted from it for any length of time.
I make an effort to leave it in my pocket in company and if I'm at home it stays in another room unless needed. I don't like this culture of habitual checking, especially in company.0 -
Oh dear, tempting to say the 50 years of my life before I got one!0

It really depends on what i am doing, I go places where I have no signal for a couple of days so don't have it then. Day to day, I generally have it around as I use it as a watch, diary, alarm clock etc. Can't say I use it much for phone calls and texts though.“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0

I never bothered having a mobile phone till I had my children. Have only modernised myself with an all singing all dancing one in the last year. Though I still don't know how to use half of what it can do. Feels like I have lost a limb if I mislay it. I really shouldn't be so reliant on it!The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0

I only use my mobile for occasionally texting my son if he's out, or keeping up to date with my emails when I'm in hospital.0

the longest without it , 6 weeks every time I go back home. I just want that, time with my family alone.
They do try to get me a little mobile so they can contact me when they are at work or out but I refuse because there is a phone line in the house.
Here, my mobile is my calendar, my alarm clock, my emails, my camera, my way to keep in touch with my friends in the other side of the world, my family's video and pics.. Its not only my phone, I feel it contains all my life.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
I didn't have a mobile till I was in my thirties. I hate the way I now feel a bit lost without it. I mainly use it for texting, but also for timing (when I'm baking something in the oven) or as an alarm clock.0
