A week when I went to the US a few years back, figured I didn't need a phone so didn't take it, yeah that didn't work out well when I got home & went to phone the person picking me up.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0

If I go out without my OH I usually take my phone in case he needs to ring me or I need to ring him. If we go out together I often leave it at home.
I have been away for days and not taken it with me. I don't get why some people are literally attached to their phone. The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
I lug the flamin' thing around with me when I'm out of the house - just in case. And the case is I needed to use it 3 years ago for a flat tire!..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
I survived a week without the smartphone but felt the withdrawal symptoms.
I also noticed how my short term memory needed a lot of help - and even my GP has agreed I should keep the smartphone as it's working for me. Ulp.0 -
I don't understand the question - in that if anyone asks for my 'phone no - I'd give them the landline - why force them to pay a higher rate. If I go out, I take the mobile with me, if I need to make a call, I put it on - simple.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0

is my phone usually about my person (ie in the bag I'm using) - yes.
Do I take it out of my bag? not usually. Do I know my mobile phone number? Not without really having to think hard about it (or checking on my phone). Its not my watch, or my calendar, or my calculator, its my phone.
And as my phone is in my bag at home and my bag is plonked when i get home, its not near me when i'm sleeping/cooking/cleaning/in the bath etc.0 -
In the last 4-5 years, I've only been without it once overnight when I left it in a taxi by mistake and had to go and collect it the following day.
Prior to that, I was without my phone plenty of times and survived perfectly well, although I suppose the phones I was missing at the time would've have done a lot less than my current phone does.0 -
Mine hasn't been charged for a couple of months now, at least, but you didn't have that option.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
I think this poll would have been better without the little 'quips' after the choices.
My choice would be 'several days,' followed by 'I am cool, it's fine...' I have gone from Sunday to Tuesday or Wednesday without looking at it. But I would not say 'several days - ouch' - as it didn't bother me...
So I think the choices are worded badly.(•_•)

I tend to only have mine with me when I have to drive anywhere. Not just for emergencies but for finding elusive addresses using Streetview.
I probably make and receive only one or two phone calls a month so being without it for any length of time would be no big deal.0
