loan 1
9 premiums at £15 each = £135, 8% simple on this to date = £112.50
difference in rebate and ppi paid = £282, 8% simple on this = £225
total refund £135 + £112 + £282 + £225 = £754
loan 2
5 premiums paid at £50 = £250, 8% simple on this = £151
difference in rebate and ppi paid = £404, 8% simple on this = £237
total refund £250 + £151 + £404 + £237 = £1042
these figures will vary slighly due to exact dates and interest calcs but they are near enough what you should expect.
well done on getting your money back.
Just an update on this
I have runf lloyds today to see if they have the final figures for the loans above. well to my shock they are alot higher than above
loan number one im getting £1000.20P and loan 2 an amazing £2600.
i DONT UNDERSTAND WHY IM GETTING SO MUCH BACK, and i know the one was settled in 2000 and one in 2003 so the interest would have been alot, but still seems very high.
I wont complain, lloyds state this has been sent just a task to do the letter, so i wont get to excoted till its in the account
from what i read on here. Lloyds seem to be all or nothing

Thankyou Martin you are saving lives here on this site. Followed your instructions on how to reclaim PPI`S. Sent of the letter with all the details and got a response back from BARCLAYCARD saying that they will look into it and it could take a month. So i thought well lets see what happens. So one month later got another letter saying that they would need another month to look into the case and they would need copies of all my statements proving i was paying PPI. So i was only too happy to comply i was paying this insurance all they way back in 2003. So i found what i could and sent that off. Got a letter back saying that i had a case and i was going to to get a cheque for £900 for the misselling of the PPI and the intrest on the charges i paid. But they were only going to pay back to 2006 as they didn`t have records that i had this plan since 2003. So after more serching for more statements i found some dated from 2003 so they got posted.
I have now just received my credit card statement and they have paid £1429.63 for the charges i paid and £763.43 in interest, total £2193.06 :T
The funny thing is that they havn`t even told me i was getting the money back i just noticed it on my credit card statement what a result:money:
Well done and Congratulations!:T:beer::jThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Just got a letter through today from GMAC saying confirming they have refunded the PPI on my car repayments, checked my account an have received £1112.58.
Last week I had received a letter saying that it was the dealership who I should contact so I did this week but GMAC must have took notice and took the decision. Thanks!!
This is great:T, Congratulations and well done.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

a fantastic result,:beer::beer:
out of interest, when they give you a breakdown please can you let me know which figures they started from so i can see how/where i went wrong, normally i'm within a couple of %. so they may have used a different set of figures to the ones posted for payments made and settlement rebate.
cheers, enjoy your cash :beer:I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0 -
Robbedofmymoney, have you heard anything further on your lloyds refund?
Seems like going by some posts on here last night that there are a few in the same position. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I am still baffled though on why I have to wait another 21 working days, and they said its because I'm not having it refunded into a lloyds bank account, it made no difference on the last 2 refunds.:mad:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0

got a letter aknowledging my complaint to my mate Eric:rotfl:.
saying i will get refund within 7 working days, still not got breakdown through though.
i've just re-looked at smithy1976 number from above and i think i can see what they have done.
what i have done is definately correct based on the numbers provided. so Lloyds have either used different starting points/numbers or .........................................................................................................
wait for it........................................................................................................
calculated the 8% interest as compound and not simple, (the numbers are quite close this way) they did say they have had some system problems recently.
hopefully smithy1976 will post Lloyds full breakdown so i can have a propper look,
have you heard any more

Hi
Now that makes me think as well, because they did say with ours that they were calculating inline with the FOS which at first it looked wrong, and then it changed to the amount to what you worked out for me after I questioned them on this, so maybe......just maybe, they have to go through everyone's calculations again, due to the interest reasons.
Its making me think on the last 2 loan ppi I had back now, as some reckons it was about £300 lower than what it should have been......:eek:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
To save looking back........was Smithy's loan or credit card ppi now?The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
