    Hi Guys

Just had a phone call from MBNA re Credit Card PPI, they are saying I ticked the box but are willing to give me a Good will jesture of 872.00. Then they went on to say I had paid 1700.00in PPI payments. I told the very nice lady to send me the details in writing and a copy of the ticked box and I will make my mind up if I will except the offer. She was then stumbling for words and asked why I will not shut the case over the phone and asked what she could do to change my mind, so I told her repay the full amount and interest, I could tell in her voice she could do this but she did not want too. I will wait to see the agreement and then phone back and say I want all the monsy or I will go to the FO.

    Wins so far
    Egg Loan - 650
    Egg Loan - 3500
    Egg C/C - 1050
    MBNA C/C - 870 ??
    15 more to go !!!!

Thanks guys for all your help, and if you have a MBNA cliam going on phone them as it speeds up the process

    Wonderful, well done and congratulations.

    Hi all,

I'm still waiting for my payment from Loans.co.uk though the end may be in sight. My man at the FOS is still off sick so I emailed someone else who had responded to a previous email, ranting that I had now been waiting 14 weeks (8 weeks time limit + 6 weeks) and stating that I now wanted further interest as well as compensation for the stress this was causing. I asked for payment directly into my bank account. My email was forwarded to Loans.co.uk and they have agreed to make a redress payment into my account. I'm hoping this will happen in the next day or 2, if not I'll be getting their phone number and ranting down the phone at them!!! What a bunch of *********!!!! There's still no sign of the cheques they've apparently sent either!!

Congratulations to all who've had wins recently. Well done!!!

    • What were you reclaiming: Loan
    • Who was the provider: Egg
    • How much did you get back: £2,003
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: All I did was send just ONE letter on Octobeer 4th 2009!
    • And then write your brief reclaim tale: I wrote to Egg following the receipt of my annual loan statement when I saw that there was a PPI amount on there (to be honest - I didn't know I was paying PPI!) . Thanks to the MSE email I get I knew that there was a bit of a buzz around the misselling of PPI so I thought I would check things out on the site. Following the things I saw on this forum I thought it had to be worth sending a letter off to Egg. I used the template from MSE and didnt change a word, I just filled in my details. Just a few days after posting my letter I got a reply from Egg saying they were in receipt of my complaint and were hoping to deal with it speedily. I was quite surprised that I got a response so quickly and thought I would hear more in a good few weeks. It was a massive surprise when just 3 days after that letter I received another letter from Egg. It was great news! They offered to refund the full amount of PPI I had paid along with the interest charged at the contractual loan rate! I was delighted! The best finacial return for 10 minutes work I could ever have hoped for!
£2,000 I didn't think I would see again... Thanks EGG!!

  • Hi All
    Hope you are all well?
My case against Barclays is still ongoing... I am claiming mis-sell on 5 loans... My case has been with the FOS since November 08... My adjudicator did not receive any answer from Barclays, when he asked them to consider paying up on all 5 loans (they did offer a goodwill gesture on 3 loans in January 09)... So two weeks ago, he told me that he would pass it on the Ombudsman himself to make a binding decision... I emailed him 10 days ago, and he told me to contact him in two weeks time...
Does anybody know how long the wait is, between the adjudicator and the Ombudsman taking their decision??
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
    Thanks

    Hi there

It may take a little time, due to the amount of these complaints they are dealing with, and also in the queing system to be passed on to the ombudman.
However, if your in any financial hardship, you could contact them to tell them this, and to request if they can fast track this on to the ombudsman for you.;)

Hope you hear sooner rather than later, good luck.;)
