    That's okay Terry.;)

Yes I would contact/write to them to ask if they can change this so that its repaid directly to you by cheque payment, afterall its what is owed to you due to being mis sold.

I see you have said you have emailed them, ring them as well on Monday to make sure they have received your email if you have not heard anything by then, good luck.;)

    HELP Needed Guys

1, Letter back from Black Horse to say my loan was taken out in 2003 so the FO can not help with my claim. They have sent me a copy of the agreement which I had signed but I was never told that the PPI was included. What can I do next ?? Who can I speak to/Contact to move forward with this??

2, Letter back from Halifax (I had a loan through AA Finance with them) I requested information on my loan from them and they have come back and said the information I supplied them was insufficient to locate my records. Any ideas guys ??

    Thanks

    Debt Free in 2010 ??? Fingers Crossed:cool:

    Hi there

I take it - it was confirmed on your letter that you are unable to take to the FOS?

I would contact the FOS anyway and ask if they can still help, due to some having their cases resubmitted, that have been in your situation.
    Call them here
    http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/contact/index.html

In regards of Halifax, did you request by a SAR with payment of £10?

I take it that in regards of the information you requested, an account number would be useful for them to track this down.

Depending when you taken out the finance with them, they should still hold so many details going back as far as 5/6 years, so if you were paying for a loan, the payments would have been made out of your bank account, check any old bank statements and next to the repayments should be an account number of that loan, if you bank online you should be able go back as far as 6 years checking on there.;)

    Hi Di

Yes I did send a cheque and they returned it, so not quite sure what to do next ?? I will be contacting the FO tomorow with regards to BH and will keep you posted. Also I was turned down by Egg and sent the 2nd letter to say 14 days which were up on the 30th Sept 09, should I go ahead now and take it FO or shall I give them a couple more days due topostal strikes ??

    Hi Leondp

Yes ring the FOS about the BH case and ask if your able to submit to them, and explain why.
You could see what tomorrow's post will bring and if you hear nothing from EGG then yes go to the FOS on that as well.

Going back to your statements etc, remember to check any statements you have from the bank to retrieve your paperwork, this way if you have the account number, they have no excuses on this.

Of course you can always contact the Information Commissioners office (ICO) on this matter, in regards of your paperwork and see what they advise.
    https://www.ico.gov.uk/Global/contact_us.aspx
See what they suggest, or another way to retrieve your account number is to request for a Credit report, some enclose them, think they are about £2, from organisations such as Equifax or Experian etc, if you google them in you will find these.;)

  • Loan
    HFC Bank
    £6,000
One letter, using template from this forum.

My letter advised that I was potentially mis-sold and the fact that the HFC had been fined on previous occasions with the FSA for a similar situation.

Im over the moon and would recommend this site to anyone and that all of those peeps who have paid this try and reclaim if they can.

    Thanks
