:T:T:T:T:T ANOTHER FIRST CRAP WIN EXCELLENT these are mounting up now:j:j:j:j how long did it take from you getting mis sell to recieving your cheque? if you havent already could you post up your figures on firstpluscomplaints.co.uk as a running total is being kept, once again well done:T

I sent the first letter 02/07/2009, they agreed policy mis-selling 05/08/2009, after a bit of 2ing and frowing I accepted the offer 12/09/2009 and received the cheque 30/09/2009! so nearly 3 months and a cost of about 8 stamps! I think thart's what they call a "BILLY BARGAIN!":j:j:j:j:j:j
  • I had a £5000 loan over 2 years from the Alliance & Leicester which I think was paid off in 2005. I cant remember exactly but believe the repayments each month were in the region of £250 to £260. I think the interest rate was approx 6.7%- 6.9%.

They recently wrote to me saying I was entitled to try and reclaim the ppi which I have since started to do and they have said they accept was missold! I have recieved a letter from them offering a refund of just over £139, however the letter states I must sign and return the acceptance letter and once I have done this it shall be an end to the matter and I that I am signing to say there shall be no further claims relating to it.

As I am unsure of the amount I should be reclaiming back from them (it was all such a long time ago I have no paperwork or statements relating to this loan), I don't know if they are trying to wriggle out of paying me the full amount I am owed or if this is actually correct!!!

If any one has any idea please help!!!!!!

this may sound stupid, but the 8% interest you get when you win, is this for the interest you have been charged on the ppi payments? does anyone understand what i am trying to say? if you have ppi front loaded and your loan is at 9 or 10% interest are you only entitled to the 8% i am having a senior moment here. please feel free to bypass me lol

If you have no paperwork then use the paperwork request letter on this site and by law they have to provide all the info you request as they must keep financial info for at least 6 years. Sounds like they might be trying to head you off before you go to them!

The 8% is added to each payment from the time it was given to FP.
You get the contractrual interest back by the way they calculate the refund.
    DS1 12/10/04
    DS2 13/07/06
    DD1 06/12/07
