Is it possible to post the exact wording in letter re the calculations??

"This represents an amount of £12,245 in respect of the refund of insurance premium and £2,631.11 in relation to a refund of the interest paid on the insurance premium throughout the term of your loan less the rebate of £736.18 already received."

We received the £736.18 rebate when we paid off the loan in full in 2005.

After following the templates on the website Welcome Finance refused to accept liability, so I sent my complaint to the FOS back in April 2008. I recieved a letter on the 5th of May 2009 confirming that following intervention from the FOS, Welcome Finance have agreed to settle my complaint regarding the Mis-sold PPI policy.

FOS have written to Welcome to ask them to contact me directly to finalise the matter and send me payment - they have 4 weeks to do this and I will send a post once I have the money from them.

So, not a quick win but a win all the same :T
    2013 Grocery Challenge £450 pm
    Jan £279 / £450 (+£171) :j
    Feb £154 / £450

    2013 save £12k Challenge £0 / £12000

Hi all, for those who have had a successful claim against NatWest does anyone know how long it normally takes for the money to go back into your current account? I know on the letter it said up to 28 days, but I was thinking maybe it was shorter than that and the 28 days notice is just there for legal stuff?
  • Thanks to Martin & Team, I too have been successful. Used templates to claim PPI from Lloyds. Letter refusing plus copy of original interview to try to prove insurance sold correctly. Only problem "original" copy of 4 years ago had current details! This sent to FOS in January'09. Received £986 in compensation and interest and remaining loan halved. Can't thank Martin & Co, enough.

    Hi there

To what I know of from reading threads on here, they do state that of 28 days normally (month), either by cheque or paid into the account.

I would ring them to make sure, good luck.;)
