I dont Know whether Black Horse are starting to pay up but I got a letter on 17/04/09 saying they would pay me £200.00 compo and work out what they owe me for miss selling PPI all in the cost to me was £5232.36 and they will pay me interest at 8% pa .I have 3 other PPI complaints with Black horse so might gat a holiday after all will let you all know how it turns out ,has anyone else had the same?

I was successful in my claim to EGG for CC PPI. No hassles, paid up from first letter. The claim for EGG loan PPI has taken a bit longer, but they have told me today that they are refunding. But taking it off my balance!! these were insurance payments, not loan payments, so I have asked for a cheque. Cross your fingers, cause it is over £8000. I already £1200 from them for the CC PPI!!!

They done same with my £2000 refund, I want the money not taken offf my outstanding balance, let me know how you get on as I am phoning them tomorrow. Surely its your choice where the money goes not theirs!

Hi there I agree with you.

Good idea to contact them and let them know how you want this repaid, maybe you could tell them, your not happy with the way this is being dealt with, and have the right to request this paid directly to you.

Unless of course there were any missed payments - arrears, if not then you go for it, good luck to you, and to Rachael.;)

There is a technical note on FOS website regarding PPI redress that I found regarding single premium policies. My interpretation is that the refund should be paid to directly to you to put you back in a psoition as if the PPI had not been added if it is still a current loan. I'm not sure if anyone on the site could point you to the link as i can't post links. I have been in the same position with Egg in that they have credited my loan account instead of me. They have said that that is the correct procedure so i sent my complaint to the FOS.

I am going to forward a copy of this note to Egg today and ask them to demonstrate how the followed the FOS guidelines when refunding me for misselling. It might not come to anything and might have to wait for the FOS to deal with it but at least I have tried.

Forgot to say that if it is PPI on a credit card the rules are different and it can be offset against any outstanding balance. I think there is something on one of the stickies.
