Just thought i would post and say hi and that i cant believe everyone is having such good luck! i am still waiting for Picture to be declared as in `default`, still off sick after an op so skint, still fighting Scottish Power after swapping to them and the door step sales man lying to me, oh and what else?? oh still waiting to hear about my equal pay claim!!
stop moaning now claire its a lovely sunny day and you are off to the zoo!!
  • I am still waiting to hear back from Cap one - they made a silly offer after they said they had no record of the account. Wonder how that was calculated?

It is now with the FO and they have just written to say that it will be passed to and adjudicator ............ however due the high volumes blah blah.

I have also reported them to the Information Commission as the have not supplied me with SAR since Nov 2008.

Being patient,I feel as though I have to forget about it at the moment and just wait.

Also dealing with HFC who admited on the phone that they owe me £384 + 8%.

No letter sent to confirm will chase next week ,has this happened to anyone else?

What do you suggest,I really need the money.
SPC £500 well will try very hard.

    GC £6.16/£150

    Hi Moonflower
    How are you?

Its difficult at the time when you really need the money.

I would ask for a full written breakdown of this, in case anything is amiss, if it does not seem right or too low, its up to you but in my opinion, try to bear it and take it all the way.;)
    Either way, good luck X

  • Hi, I've been a lurker here for absolutely ages and decided to try and get my PPI with Egg back about a month ago. I was missold it as I have several pre existing medical conditions that exclude me from claiming on the insurance, plus I get paid by my employer for 6 months if I am off work sick.
I used the template from this site and within 2 weeks my account had been refunded £3, 600 and my monthly payments reduced by just over £100!!
I'd urge anyone who thinks they have been missold PPI to send off a letter.
    :-))

  • Hi all, like many on here, I have been lurking whilst waiting for an answer from HSBC about my loan PPI. Felt obliged to post now though to inform everyone that they have upheld my complaint.

My loan was taken out in 2004, and was to the tune of around 30k with 8k worth of PPI or thereabouts. I wrote one letter, got an initial 'we need more time' letter within 4 weeks and then this morning confirmation that they are refunding £4,794.62 plus £877.44 interest, totalling £5,672.06!! To say I am delighted would be an understatement!

The basis of my complaint was that they insisted on me taking the PPI and indicated that granting the credit would be dependent upon this fact.

I also have to point out that HSBC have been absolutely fantastic to deal with. They have responded promptly, they have been fair, an absolute joy to deal with. They are now restructuring the loan on the same interest and term but without PPI, which should lower the repayments by around £100 per month also.

Thanks to MSE (and my work for paying postage!) I am a very happy chappy!

    Cheers!!
