I had 2 credit cards dating back to 2002, I was young and easily convinced that I needed PPI on them both, having reviewed these I printed off the PPi letter from Martin and completed the standard form. I waited about 10 weeks and have now received confirmation that both claims have been upheld.
The first was with MBNA and they awarded me £5,400
The second was with Barclaycard and they awarded me £11,900.
That is £17,300 paid back to me, this has taken less than an hour of my time and 2 stamps, Thanks Martin,0 -
MINT have confirmed they have lost Ts and Cs, so if I am attempting to reclaim PPI, where do I stand? This was a postal application, however I attempted to cancel and was advised I had to take out a new agreement. I did not need PPI because I was entitled to sickness and redundancy payments and furthermore, MINT failed to make it clear thatthe monthly benefit was a specific percentage of the outstanding balance at thedate of a claim event. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks.0

you need the account number to complain, not the t&Cs. It'll help if you remember how it was sold too.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Hi all, it's been great reading all the stories on here and in doing so has spurred me on to submit my own claims, I have had responses from them all and was hoping for some advice on what to do next?
Santander loan - acknowledgement letter saying they are investigating.
Intelligent Finance mortgage - rejected and closed the complaint sent me fos leaflet
Halifax mortgage 2004 - present - rejected and have given me 28 days to respond otherwise they will consider the letter a final response. I asked them to look into additional borrowing but there was no mention about this
The more interesting ones.........
Blackhorse finance loans x2 - rejected saying I didn't have ppi but said if I have any other information which confirms I had ppi to contact them so they can investigate further........... Also both letters say "this complaint is not eligible for consideration by the FOS as they are only able to consider complaints regarding policies that were sold by us between 1st December 2001 and 31st march 2003 and from the 14th January 2005" even though I took out these policies in 2004?
Lloyds tsb loans x4 going back to 2001 - acknowledgement letter saying they are investigating and will be in touch. I didn't realise I had consolidated these loans until the otherday after sending the forms off, should I ring/write to tell them about this and I forgot to put down I have death in service payout at work
Any advice on where to go next?0 -
hi, am new to this so hope this helps anybody, used the sites free template letter, sent of my ppi forms to santandar stating that we were missold mortgage ppi in 2004 due to the fact we were told we had to have it!! after 6 weeks of them passing me from pillar to post and stating we never took out ppi, the proof was that i sent in bank statements and the original forms we signed in 2004, i told them i would report them for theft to the police then as why would money be taken out of my account in the name of santandar ppi???? just had my letter back today saying i was sold ppi and i have received all my money back plus 8% interest!!!! £2596. to anyone thinking you cannot do it yourself please do it, it really is worth fighting for, if you are owed it back go for it0

I just received a lovely letter saying my claim for mis-sold PPI from Lloyds TSB has been upheld and I am due a cheque for £433.71.
So easy to do as well. I just rang the number Lloyds have provided, just gave them my details and they could see everything. I had no paperwork, no account numbers, nothing! My loan was for £1500, Taken out in Sept 2004 for 60 months and repaid in Nov 2005.
I have been putting off claiming for years as I had no paperwork and I didn't think I would get a lot as I had paid the loan off so quickly. So glad I did and the amount was more than I was expectingTotal Debt at LBM - £19107.03Total now - £11091.220 -
Thanks to the website, I followed your advice and got back £9500 from HSBC. I'm now directing friends and colleagues to the site. I wrote to ask HSBC (my bank) if I had ever had PPI on any products and they confirmed I had four. I didn't realise!
I'm still fighting for one claim which was upheld but due to HSBC having no records because it was over six years ago they are not paying up.0
