OMG, just looked at my Halifax card statement online and today they have repaid my PPI and interest which amounts to £7580.65 :j:j:j:j:j:j

This has reduced my debt on the card to £354.48 :j:j:j:j:j

This was the result of only ONE letter, the first template letter, which all of you kind people on here encouraged me to send. I am so so so so grateful to you for all your help and encouragement :beer:

If there is anyone out there who, like I was, is concerned about claiming back mis-sold PPI, take heart.

Thank you each and everyone but especially Di and Turboman

I am now off to update my signature :T

    Hi

Those people who have had recent successes through the FOS on here.................can you let me know how long you had to wait from sending in your complaint to the FOS?

I sent mine in last January 2008 and am still waiting for it to be allocated to an adjudicator!!

    Hi,

My complaint has been with the FOS since January 2008. It was passed to an adjudicator in March, I think, who upheld my complaint but Loans.co.uk rejected it so it was passed to the ombudsman towards the end of June. I'm still waiting for the ombudsman's final decision and have been ringing and emailing on a regular basis for the past couple of months and have only received one call back to say it should be dealt with in the next couple of weeks, that was about a month ago! The adjudicator who dealt with my case never answers his phone and never calls me back when I leave messages (except on one occasion) and doesn't respond to emails. He did say hes away from his desk a lot as he's setting up a new department! Very frustrating!!!!! I keep thinking its been going on so long it can't take much longer!!!! Can it??????????

hi everyone just wanted to let you know i have had an offer from capital one today the problem is they have offered me £117.24 and i believe i have paid more than that in ppi. I have had the account since november 06 so think that the premiums are a bit more.
My question would be shall i accept this offer, i have drafted a letter to send explaining i think it should be more.
    helpfull answers would be appreciated.
