    Hi,

    I sent in a claim to Lloyds on 23rd May and received my Claim Acceptance letter in the post last Monday dated 30.8.2011. The letter had no figures so I signed it and got it posted last Tuesday.

    Does anyone know how long it will take to get amount letter and then how long to receive the cheque?

    Thanks to everyone on here you have been a great help so far :)

    Thanks

    LS :rotfl:
    Hi - I don't really know the answer to that, but I am in the same boat and I e-mailed them, just to check for sure that they had received my acceptance form. Their e-mail back said :

    I can confirm that we received the signed and dated acceptance slip on the 4th September 2011. Please note that all refund payments are processed and received within twenty-eight working days from the date that we received the signed and dated acceptance slip.

    hi , i sent letter using template asking terms and conditions with £1.00 cheque and they replied that as loan is closed they don't have to give any information and sent chq back. how do i claim my ppi back. I think i had loan protection can't remember ...

    any help will be appreciated ...

    Rubbish. They paid me without sending any paperwork....just a cheque 7 weeks after I asked them for T's&C's. And I didn't put a cheque in with the letter (wasn't aware I was supposed to!)
    I suggest you get back in touch, preferably with the CEO, and mention that if they don't provide the information, you'll refer the matter to the FOS. I dont know the CEO's email address, but I'm sure someone on here will.
    Good luck.

  • Thank you Mark. I've decided to e-mail them to ask them to look at claim again. Good luck with your claim too.

    Hi there

    Sometimes they will review/reconsider, you could ask them to do so by 14 days, tell them if you hear nothing by then you will continue to complain further.
    Ask them to reconsider and try to give them as much more info as you can, tell them the PPI was not sold fairly and to be told you had to have the PPI to have the loan you now know its so wrong, tell them the staff had a responsibility to treat you fairly and you feel the policy was not sold in your best interest.
    Tell them you have a good mind to also contact the FSA the regulator about this matter, and say if you've not heard by 14 days with a change of decision you will be doing so as well as complaining to the FOS.
    Good luck, keep at them.

    Hi, thank you for your reply. I'm gong to send an e-mail. I'll try and emphasize that the word "optional" was never mentioned. The most annoying thing is that at the time of the meetings to get the loan I looked on the internet and found payment protection for only £10 per month. I did tell the loans assistant but she just ignored this. Thanks again. I'll post any further developments.

    I have had a similar responses from RBS. Apparently they are under no obligation to provide the T's & C's for a closed account. I was told in the letter to send a Subject Access Request (SAR) and a cheque for £10 which I have done - there is a template letter on this site. Personally, I think it is a stalling tactic as they know fine well why people are asking for these docs! RBS has 40 days to responsd to a request for a SAR so I am currently playing a waiting game! Good luck with your own claim.

    They have acted correctly, despite what others may say. Remember, their letters may have been different or the bank may have updated its procedures.

    There needs to be evidence that the policy was missold - not merely that it existed.

    What makes you believe you had it at all and why do you believe it was missold?

  • Hi Guys.....

    Does anyone know what this means, I cant seem to make sense of it :o:(

    Refinanced loan with Lloyds back on 2009 and received this letter;

    PPI value; 4300.92

    We have recently been informed that you have repaid your loan in full and that your loan insurance rebate of £2943.75 has been deducted from the settlement loan figure of your loan.

    The usual procedure is that a net settlement is used to close the loan; please see following illustration;

    * the settlement figure for loan is calculated
    * the insurance rebate is calculated
    * the insurance rebate is then deducted from the settlement figure
    * this then leaves the 'net' settlement figure, which you have now paid in full.

    Does anyone know what this means?? please :o:o
  • Hi everyone, been reading this forum for a while but first time posting!

    I put in a complaint to lloyds tsb in May 11 stating they did not tell me my ppi was optional and the person dealing with my loan implied i would not get the loan if i did not have PPI, i received a letter saying they have upheld my complaint, i signed the form to accept and just waiting for figures and payment.
    I was very suprised lloyds tsb have upheld my complaint as i have actually claimed on my ppi when i had a knee injury and was off work for nearly one year! i didn't actually need to claim on my ppi as i could still manage my payments for my loan, however i thought i'm paying for it so i may as well use it.

    Has anyone else had their claim upheld even though they have claimed on their PPI?
