Hi gang

Do you think we have a good case on this or are we just wasting our time?

Another question too if you dont mind I was suppose to hear of a decision from my old Morgan Stanley/Barclaycard account by the 6th September but I still havent heard. I am just wondering now if this has been "upheld" or not and if I should ring them or just leave it another few days = what do you all think?

Hi dizzywithmoney,
first one, yes i'd say you have them by the short and curlies on that one, they've been quoting the ppi all along then confirm thats the correct numbers, then tell you that you don't have ppi, not on!

I know you say you were due a decision by the 6th September, I think that just means that they can issue the decision even dated that day, remember it can take, certainly with Clydesdale Bank it was about 6/7 days for letters to arrive after their 'issue date'. I'd stick with it another couple of days, or phone up in your bestest nicest tone's and charm them to see if the letters been sent, and if so if they can tell you what was in it:D:D
Thanks to all the competition posters.

If you made payment to this from your bank account, you could try contacting tele banking or pop into your local branch, explain that you're having some problems with some payment made from your account back to that time, just say you were going through some old documents etc, don't say ppi, then when they find the payments ask for the details of the account, usually the reference number will be your card number or your account number.
Another one is if this was done with online banking, sometimes your card number shows on old online statements.
Hope this helps:D
Thats great thanks never even thought of doing it that way , will contact my bank tommorow , you all have the Knowlege , may you be blessed with lots of beer , lottery wins and ppi refunds HA HA cheers dave:rotfl:

Hi All

Received my offer from Lloyds TSB on Saturday 3rd September 2011. My claim had been with the FOS since 2009 ! I found it a bit strange that Lloyds didnt ask for an acceptance letter??

Was amazed to receive my cheque today......£16,471.87 going in my bank tomorrow :j

Best of luck everyone :D

Wow thats great. Well done on your claim

Well one out of three aint bad, that almost sounds like a song from the 70's!!!:rotfl:
I'll take a coffee instead of the beer, dont drink! Lottery win will be fine but knowing my luck it'll be a tenner or even worse about £4 from two number in the euro millions!!!
PPi's i've had one success with Clydesdale, two loans:j
Thanks though Dave, much appreciated.

• So I finally got my money back from Natwest/RBS today after months of dealing. The original claim letter was lost by them and they nicely backdated the letter when I forwarded them my proof of posting and copy of the electronic signature that signed for my letter at their office.

Only thing is, my offer was around £3150 and they seem to have paid me £5,818?! Will be on the phone to them in the morning!!

Dave,
I emailed the ceo

David.Thorburn@eu.nabgroup.com

but I got a reply from this person on his behalf

Carol.A.Craig@eu.nabgroup.com

and I also copied in the customer services on

AQU.PPI@eu.nabgroup.com

I wasn't rude or anything like that just said how disappointed I was that they weren't able to give decision by that point, this was about 12 weeks, I was prepared to wait longer and only go to FOS if they came back with a rejection. After the emails OH got call from Carol Craig saying that it was with calculations and something would be out in the mail within a couple of days, I gave them to the end of the following week, and low and behold on the Thursday/Friday we received the letter, checked calculations with niggly on here, send acceptance form special delivery was received on the Tuesday and money in the bank on the Thursday, a wee bit long on the decision's but very quick at paying.
Thanks to all the competition posters.
