Hi Sue
That is great news to have an upheld win, this mean they have agreed to pay back ALL ppi plus interest that applies, well done and yes if you prefer ask if they are able to just pay directly into the bank account instead of the cheque.
Say he agrees with the decision, but would prefer for the refund to be paid directly into the bank, good luck x;)0 -

Hiya
Your welcome
You could request a SAR (Subject Access Request) but this may only go back to the last 6 years, where some companies are more lenient than others where they will still hold data going back to even earlier than 6 years.
For this request there is a FULL SAR letter template below, if you want to do this and you enclose the one off £10 cheque or postal order payment, they then have up to 40 calendar days to comply, hopefully they will at least still hold the details of the transcripts of the telephone calls.

If they are unable to provide you with anything, then they must send back your payment with a letter to explain.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi
Just to try and set your expectations - I sent my acceptance letter which they received and scanned into their systems on 9th August. Phoned them 3 times to find out when the payment will be made, 1st call was 4-5 working days, 2nd call was 28 days and the call to them yesterday was 4-5 weeks. Just sit tight and well done with your claim.
OMG!!! Thought I'd check the bank just on the off chance and they have made the payment already, that's just 2 days after I received my letter!
Good luck to everyone waiting!:rotfl:0 -
Help please
I have just found an account no for a loan we had with the Black Horse it was settled in full in May 2002 and had ppi attached to it. Do you think it would be okay to put in a claim? Can anybody help with the address that I would send the questionnaire too, thank you.0 -
Hi all, I received my letter from Halifax to day advising that my claims for a credit card and a loan had been upheld. Same as a lot of other folk on here, it just states how they will work out what I get but no actual figures. My acceptance will be going in the post first thing Monday morning! I am so excited!!!! I honestly went in to this not expecting to get a penny (as per Martins instructions!) so i'm absolutely thrilled to be getting money back!
Anything is a bonus!
Good luck to everyone, sending off a simple letter to these companies is the best thing you can do!

could any one help with this one too please , when we had the ppi it was included in the whole loan , when we refinanced whats left of the old loan gets added to the new loan , is this the same for ppi? would what was left of the old ppi have been added to the new ppi?0

I wish you had posted before saying you were going to cancel the ppi, NEVER cancel ppi on a loan when you are going for mis sell. You should have waited for your mis sell to end , hindsight is a good thing i know, but you will have to pay the loan to term end now with no reduction for the ppi i am afraid.
If you win mis sell with this ppi, then the ppi you have paid to date will be returned to you with the interest associated with that, so you will get proper redress for the ppi.
Had you not cancelled the ppi then the whole ppi payment would have been taken off your loan and the ppi monthly amount would have reduced your loan payment by this amount, plus you get the ppi paid to date with interest.
I would write to complain about this, tell them that you cancelled this ppi because the claim was put on hold and it was not explained to you that this would not affect the ppi monthly payment, and if they do not deal with this you will take this to fos.
Had you known this would affect your loan in this way, then you would not have cancelled this ppi, so in effect when you went in to cancel the ppi, the person who you spoke to should have told you what would happen, then you would have left it. Lets face it, they would not tell you this info, as it would save the bank money. Get a complaint in and let us know how you get on.
Well done on your other win :j0 -
