    can someone help me please.
I have received a offer letter from Lloyds TSB - but they want me to sign the acceptance form send it back then they will tell me how much I will receive, I am I right to call therm and ask for the payment figure first before I accept there offer?

"Once you signed acceptance is received we will write to you again to confirm the final payment amount, a brerakdown of the calculation and more information on when and how we#ll make payment"

My loan was for £7k over 4 years it finished few years back.

I wait to hear from u guys before I reply yo Lloyds and I might call them to ask for final figure!!

    Thanks

Im 100% sure thats standard and I would sign and return it, I think its you are agreeing to just how they will arrive at the refund not amounts, if they appear to be wrong when they inform you, then you can ask them to look at those again. But by all means give them a ring to be 100%
    ps. :rotfl::j:beer: WEll Done :beer::j:rotfl:

    Hi there

First of all Congratulations on your success!

This is standard of Lloyds and they do then send the breakdown just before the payout, however on one of mine in the past we noted a mistake and a few weeks down the line they did correct it and send a further payment.;)

Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!! If its not the banks p*****g me off its the post office. Had 2 upheld letters from Lloyds a couple of days apart. Returned 1st acceptance letter 1st class recorded delivery on 23/08/11. The second one I sent 2nd class recorded on 27/08/11 and was told at post office it would not go till tuesday after bank holiday. The second class one sent after bank holiday was there next day and I saw proof of signature online. The first one says "still in system" and its been 10 days now. Rang P.O and was told I have to leave it another 5 days. Am now on phone to Lloyds to see if I should send copy of acceptance letter that I kept, dont want them to think I dont want my money. Needless to say I am on hold and steam is starting to come out of my ears!!!!! Is everyone incompetant these days

    Haha........... Stay Calm ;);););)

Like most things in the UK its slow and broke! :rotfl:

So the 31st August has come and gone still nothing from barclays and these cowboys are telling me that I need to speak to the FOS directly.
I have spoken to the FOS who are very friendly and they have advised that they gave Barclays 16weeks from the 8th July to settle which means they still have another 2 weeks left. This is so unacceptable because I have received so many letters from Barclays saying that they are going to settle before the 31/08/2011 and now they are refusing to accept responsiblity for all the wrong infomation I have been told and the promise letters sent out.
This has been going on since September 2010 may I also add i am so annoyed :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: :mad::mad::mad::mad:

    Hi yetty

I certainly hope they will consider further redress on top of what is owed to you on the PPI, a year!!! I can understand how frustrated you must be feeling, however you have waited this long and it shouldn't be long now. It's certainly not your fault they sent the wrong info, yet another reason to redress you further in my opinion, good luck honey x;)

  • I think it changed in Nov 2005/06 not 100% sure now so wouldnt want to give you incorrect information, but that may be why they rejected it, but you have other reasons too so dont give up! ;):D

My complaint was rejected this week even though my complaint also related to the fact I was working a few hours per week, and it was a pre-ticked box. This card was taken out in 2001!!!!! I have replied requesting full details on the online process via a SAR letter, given them 14 days to reconsider and if they continue to reject, I will be taking to the FOS as I feel adament that this was a miss-sell. Will keep you all posted.

    Hiya
    Well done on your success!

Sorry to hear your still waiting.

I would have thought you should receive your refund anytime now, if they go by 21 to 28 days after they received your acceptance, hopefully if you contact them they will confirm, good luck. ;)
