Just thought I would le you all know that I have recieved my first payout from a PPi claim
.......................................42,000.00 from barclaycard :j
I had to re read the letter several times before i understood it. I thought they had made a mistake on placing the decimal point.:rotfl:
I still cant believe it, I am so glad I made the claim and not a company on my behalf as I would have to pay them commission.
Its so easy to do.
Thank you Martin you are an :A

So the 31st August has come and gone still nothing from barclays and these cowboys are telling me that I need to speak to the FOS directly.
I have spoken to the FOS who are very friendly and they have advised that they gave Barclays 16weeks from the 8th July to settle which means they still have another 2 weeks left. This is so unacceptable because I have received so many letters from Barclays saying that they are going to settle before the 31/08/2011 and now they are refusing to accept responsiblity for all the wrong infomation I have been told and the promise letters sent out.
This has been going on since September 2010 may I also add i am so annoyed :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: :mad::mad::mad::mad:0 -

I think it changed in Nov 2005/06 not 100% sure now so wouldnt want to give you incorrect information, but that may be why they rejected it, but you have other reasons too so dont give up!:D

WOW - Congratulations
Just for information, I got my offer letter on 3rd August for £12,317 and I have made numerous calls to Barclays to find out when they will be making the payment and on every call the information they give out is different (1st call: payment will be made within 4-5 working days - 2nd call: it will be 28 days from the date we received your signed acceptance letter and 3rd call: it will take 4-5 weeks and during the same call (today) it will be 4-5 "working weeks"). I despair0 -
can someone help me please.
I have received a offer letter from Lloyds TSB - but they want me to sign the acceptance form send it back then they will tell me how much I will receive, I am I right to call therm and ask for the payment figure first before I accept there offer?
"Once you signed acceptance is received we will write to you again to confirm the final payment amount, a brerakdown of the calculation and more information on when and how we#ll make payment"
My loan was for £7k over 4 years it finished few years back.
I wait to hear from u guys before I reply yo Lloyds and I might call them to ask for final figure!!
Thanks0 -

Try to stay calm i know its so frustrating but hopefully the wait will be so worth it, best of luck to you
Now for the bad news (sorry), I did read whilst i was away that because barclays admitted and would uphold all complaints that they have been granted even more time, beyond the 16wks & 31st August deadline, which i think is sooooo wrong! but stick with it:D
