Hi guys im new here :)

Well i have just come back from holidays only to find a letter from lloyds TSB dated 22 august 2011 saying.

    Dear Sir

I am writing to you today in relation to your complaint about your payment protection insurance (PPI) policy.

Thank you for your patience as i know it may have been some time since you first contacted us. ( i put in the claim in april)

As you may be aware, the rules which determine how we should assess your complaint were being considered by the court as part of legal proceedings between the british bankers association (BBA), the financial services authority (FSA) and the financial ombudsman service (FOS).Now that we have received an outcome from the court, we are able to send you final response to your complaint.

As our final responce, we would like to offer you £895.05 to bring your complaint to a conclusion.
Accepting this offer will ensure that you are put back to the same position you would be in if you had not taken out payment protection insurance in releation to your credit card.

Then theres some stuff about 8% intrest.

    Total proposed offer = £829.05 :j:j:j

    Then it says

We are now making arrangments for the appropraite payment to be made. Which will be in the form of a direct payment to sort code ****** and account ********* to resolve this matter for you as quickly as possible.

If we do not hear from you we will close your complaint, consider it resolved and make the payment outlined in this letter.

So am more than happy with my offer :p anyone know when i can expect the payment to be made (letter was dated 22nd of this month)

    Thanks
    Dave

Well done mate. Congrats. Hope you get sorted soon

    Thanks :)

  • Just reclaimed PPI from a Citibank loan in 2006. Original loan was £5000 over two years and they paid PPI plus interest and I got £738 back. I only had to send one letter and they took about 8 weeks to refund (but kept me updated with "We-are-dealing-with-your-complaint-letters") and the reply came with a cheque.

If you can claim do it.
