It was just a credit card, taken out in 2001, I have no recollection of any discussion regarding PPI at the time or since and as I've been a Civil Servant for 20 years my terms & conditions of employment would have covered me so I certainly didn't need the PPI.
I don't have much more information that that tbh, I didn't send a SAR or anthing just the one basic letter making a claim so I'm still no wiser as to why & when the PPI was added! Just pleased to get it back!:rotfl:
Good Luck with your Claim!i wish my bank account could keep up with my Rockstar Lifestle! :cool:0 -

Good Luck with your Claim!
Thank you :money:
Can you remember the credit limit of the card (roughly?)
Did the letter give a breakdown, ie.
PPI premiums
APR Interest
8% interestI'm a secret crime fighter0 -
The dont have to pay everyone by the 31st August, they only have to tell you if they're paying you out or not, they then have a further 8 weeks to pay you.
Hope this helps, at least if you get told you're getting paid you know it's coming.
See this is were I get confused!!
When I got my letter from Barclays it said about the no quibble refund if before the JR etc. etc. and I'd hear further about this by end of August.
Now, this letter to me is saying they are going to pay me and I am just waiting on figures.
I do not expect another letter stating whether or not they uphold my complaint because as far as I am concerned, this was what the previous letter said and is not new news for those of us who have been waiting a while!0 -
IANC
Refund of Premiums = £4240.81
Interest Applied to the account because of premiums = £2404.68
(OMG that's shocking no wonder I was struggling to clear the bloomin thing)
Interest at 8% = £1660.72
Total £8306.41
The balance for the past 4 years has been £1700.00, it was higher in the past but paid off.
Hope that helps!i wish my bank account could keep up with my Rockstar Lifestle! :cool:0 -

Hi,
Jim, I think Smam was more looking for how long it would take them to credit the bank account now she's sent the signed "I accept your offer" form
Smamfer - I beleieve the norm for Santander seems to be about 1 - 2 weeks to credit the account, but if you're worried, call them-
Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

That is excellent, Cheers
I just wanted to check that they were consistent when adding the APR interest to the PPI refunds, and this confirms that they are.
My balance averaged £3,000 for 8 out of 13 years, so looking forward to my letter :j Assuming they uphold it :eek:I'm a secret crime fighter0 -

Cash loan £5,000
total charge for credit for cash loan £1,303
Insurance loan £963.07
Total charge for credit insurance loan £250.73
Total amount i pay for insurance loan £1,213.80
I have to pay the loan and interest by 60 months payments of £125.28
Annual percentage rate 9.9%
Monthly interest rate 0.793%
Total loan £5,963.07
Total charge for credit for total loan £1553.73
Total amount i pay £7,516.80.
Sorry im not very good with figures so i have just put it here as it is on the Loan agreement. Thanks so much in advance. xxxxx
This is what I get.
PPI plus interest gives a total of £1,213.80 (£963.07 + £250.73)
Total loan + Interest comes to £6,303 (£5,000 + £1,303)
So the PPI = 19.26% of the total loan and interest. 1,213.80/6303 x 100
The total monthly repayment was £125.28, so 19.26% of that is £24.12 (the amount of the monthly premium that was required to repay the PPI loan)
60 x £24.11 = £1,446.98 (the total for PPI plus interest)
Then the 8% needs adding on.
If it were just from 2006 (the end of the loan until now) it would be £578.79 (I think)
This is the bit that Tifosi or Niggly will need to do for you :rotfl:I'm a secret crime fighter0 -
