Dont think you're being a numpty mate
Could be in the one of Nigglys you saw the bank hadnt shown the interest charged on the PPI, so he had to work it out seperately?
I'm sure it is actually more complicated than I've put but with the way I've done it above I cant see the bank would have a leg to stand on trying to argue it

Hia guys,
Just out of interest..(bub bum) is the 8% interest paid on the amount re payed as a single payment or calculated over the years from when the loan was taken out??
I have complained about a loan from MBNA which was for £6000 in 2001, payments: £216 over 48mnths. I have no agreement so have no other details....is any of you clever people can give me an idea what i would receive back if i were to be very lucky?Thank you
Has anyone had any luck with MBNA???
I have got complaints in with Halifax (jan 2010) and central trust (may 2011) which both are with the FOS.....just think i am an unlucky person:(
Never mind i have bags of hope & pockets full of dreams :A!!
Good luck to all winners & waiters!! :T xx0 -
After a very successful claim against MBNA, decided to go through some old papers tucked away in the attic. Found papers relating to an old Egg loan (paid off) I had totally forgotton about with PPI. Printed off the questionnaire and sent off with covering letter of complaint.
Today received a cheque from EGG for £650 in full & final settlement! Turnaround from start to finish was under 6 weeks!!!!!:):):):)

Hi, for the 6k loan, we would need to know either
a) the interest rate applied to your loan
b) the amount of PPI premium charged
216 x 48 = £10368 so deducting the £6,000 loan gives £4,368 but without knowing the interest rate applied or the PPI premium added at the start, we have no way of knowing how much the PPI was
There are lots of MSE'ers that have had success with MBNA - one credit card claimant recently got £23k back!-
Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

Holli,
are you sure they paid you the right amount?
Would you mind putting up the figures?
Also, when exactly did you first complain to them?-
Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

Hi,
Jim, I think Smam was more looking for how long it would take them to credit the bank account now she's sent the signed "I accept your offer" form
Smamfer - I beleieve the norm for Santander seems to be about 1 - 2 weeks to credit the account, but if you're worried, call them
cheers guys, i posted it off last week, they also wanted proof of address as address where he lived at time of loan was different. So ill jot down here as and when we get something back
thanks again xx2025 Wins ::
