Brilliant, well done!
Again Santander show the way for the other banks. A payout in only four weeks! The others would just be sending out acknowledgements at this point!!!:T:T:beer:0 -
Very true, Santander have been excellent:j0

Is there a direct number for HSBC to contact them on for PPI complaints? I know the Telephone banking option is not helpful at all and its like talking to an alien with them!!! So there must be a customer service or PPI linked help numb @ HSBC... i am eager to know the payout! xx

Hello all, i have several claims going on at the moment. I emailed all the ceo's on friday and again on saturday, this morning i received a reply from Mr Patrick Smith, the ceo of swinton group. He informs me that his executive team shall look at this asap and also he is surprised i am claiming because swinton didnt offer ppi on loans back then ( This is from 2002). I have my documents here that clearly state i have "COMPULSORY MOTOR INSURANCE PROTECTION"
The interest rate on this is 34.6%. Will this ( if i am successful) be included or just the 8%???
Hi there
Good luck on your reclaiming, I assume its the 8% but hopefully Niggly will know and post up soon (Sorry if I missed your posts and you've already answered to this Niggly) lol.:D;)
All the best. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi all. I am a first time poster but without this forum i would never have put in for a claim. I phoned santander complaints on 26/7/11 about 2 loans i had from 2005 & 2008 with A&L. On saturday 30/7/11 i received a letter from santander offering me £2268.37 on the 1st loan. Still waiting to hear back about the 2nd. I am delighted with this and cant believe the quick response. Good luck to all today, hope there are many wins.
Hi and welcome.
Well done Donna:T Congratulations, great work!:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thanks Di. I just gave them a ring and they said they have the final figures from head office so they should be able to finalise in around 10 working days
Hiya
That's cool, at least you know where you stand now, good one and the best of luck, well done!:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I'm very happy to report that my claim (a loan & a HSBC credit card) has been upheld by HSBC.
I had to go the full 16 weeks & I did have to contact them a couple of times to make sure the ball was still rolling.
When I took my loan out a while back I was advised that I was more likely to be successful with my application if I included PPI. With the credit card, I did not even realise they had applied it! I was young when I first got the card so just assumed it was compulsory monthly charge.
I'm very happy with the offer & I will be accepting it. Is anyone able to explain more about having to pay tax on the interest (from the 8% compensation)?
Hiya
Congratulations that is fab, well done
I think this is standard on letters, which does not mean you pay this, amersall posted something about this before. (its similar to that of earnings to what I can recall, so you do not pay on a certain amount, think it would have to be a huge sum before you do) maybe amersall will explain more on this when she's here.
Niggly is the one for calculations if you want these checked and will hopefully be about sometime today, or maybe later in the day, I'm sure he will check this out for you.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
