:j:j:j yessssssssssssssss:beer: just received a letter off santander offering me £2603.44.:T I started this claim 4 weeks ago by email, it was upheld within 3 days and i have just signed to confirm this now:) I am so happy, i am going to use this money to set myself up as a sole trader:T

Again Santander show the way for the other banks. A payout in only four weeks! The others would just be sending out acknowledgements at this point!!!:T:T

I'm very happy with the offer & I will be accepting it. Is anyone able to explain more about having to pay tax on the interest (from the 8% compensation)?

I think this is standard on letters, which does not mean you pay this, amersall posted something about this before. (its similar to that of earnings to what I can recall, so you do not pay on a certain amount, think it would have to be a huge sum before you do) maybe amersall will explain more on this when she's here.

Niggly is the one for calculations if you want these checked and will hopefully be about sometime today, or maybe later in the day, I'm sure he will check this out for you.;)
