I havent got anything as proof[/QUOTE]
prob a stupid answer, but can you go into your local branch and ask them to give you statements for back then.
over the phone my bank could only go back 6 years, but a friend of mine said go into your local branch and they can give you all the info from when you opened your account which they did to 1993 for me:D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim

Hi all,
Further to my uphold letter received by LLoyds TSb last week with regard to my credit card, can someone out there explain how they have broken down the figures?
Our proposed offer has been calculated as follows:
1/ We've reconstructed what the balance of your credit card account would have been without PPI, by removing any PPI premiums and any interest or charges in respect of those premiums. This totals -£2,219.38
2/ We've calculated the difference between the actual current balance and the revised balance, totaling £4,916.45
3/ If that produces a credit balance for any period, we then include credit interest on that balance for the relevent period at the rate of 8% simple interest per year, totaling £335.29
Total proposed offer = £5,251.74
At the time of my complaint, the balance on the C/C would have been approx -£3,000.
I'm very happy with the offer, but just a bit confused as to how..
Thanks to all..
Well done to you, that is absolutely fab :T:j Congratulations.
I understand credit card ppi works out a little different to that of loan ppi, maybe amersall would be better than explaining this part to you, but below also check on how the FOS calculates ppi refunds, minus the further redress compo (as the further redress compo) is generally if its gone as far as the FOS which then causes distress and inconvenience, but hope this info on the link below is of some help for you.;)

Thanks it was on the 25th May - so only the other day. but had 2 letter within days saying they would ook into and allow 8 weeks and then about 2 weeks later saying 16 weeks from date complaint recvd.
i thought they would say no to the mppi immediately so quite chuffed still with them - as they say no news is good news.
good luck with yours too0 -
