Hi, after looking on the site i sent off two questionares to halifax to laim back my PPI on a loan & credit card. Today i received a letter from them that said this:
"My understanding of your complaint is that you are concerned about the way you sold your payment protection insurance on your halifax loan and credit card. If i have misunderstood this please let us know by contacting 0845 601 4034.
Please find enclosed a copy of our complaints leaflet.
your complaint will be dealt with as quickly as possible".
Sorry if i am being dumb but is this the correct procedure & what should i do now?? Thanks for any help.:(
Hi, and good luck on your reclaiming.
This is normally standard procedure, they have acknowledged confirmation of your complaint and will be looking into this, they have 8 weeks to give a decision.
Good luck and please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I have a secured loan with unWelcome Finance, it's for about £15k. I'm pretty sure I was missold PPI, but am not 100% sure. I am still paying the loan at £350 per month, but they have increased this from around £250 per month last year.
Can I reclaim my PPI payments if I am still paying the loan? I can't find my original agreement contract which I took out June 2007.
Cheers

Hi Steve
Is this one of those cashback after 5 years policies?
Check for more details below - checklist but if you believe you were mis sold the ppi, then give it a go on the reclaiming.
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#checklist
You just complete the reclaiming questionnaire (this replaced the reclaim template letter) and send to whoever sold and set up the policy.
So if Welcome set this up you pursue them.
It makes no difference if the account is still active or settled, you can still make a reclaim.
The questionnare you will find here:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#reclaim
Keep copies of all you send and receive in case you need to refer to this at some point, they normally have 8 weeks to give a decision, but may ask for more time.
If you hear nothing by 8 weeks, or they don't uphold in your favour by the final decision, your able to make a complaint to the financial ombudsman service (FOS).
Hope this helps, good luck and please keep us posted.:)
Also just to add, just as long as you have the account number and have reasons for being mis sold you can continue without any need of the documents, but it may help to have some details, so if you want a copy of your agreement, just write a simple letter - enclose £1 cheque or postal order and ask they supply the copy of the agreement by 12 days, remember to give them the account number details to track down your info. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Excellent result and well done.
I too have a claim with Deloitte against picture (its only been a couple of weeks so far). I have a couple of questions about the amount refunded:
How much of your payment was actual ppi and what was interest.
did they take off the ncb you have already had or expect to have in the next couple of years. My PPI is £12k and I have had 2 ncb totally around 5k.
Sorry for being nosey I just want to make sure I know what I should expect.
Thanks:T0
