    • What were you reclaiming: loan with ppi
    • Who was the provider: lloyds tsb
    • How much did you get back: £4,453 ppi, £1,072 interest
    • total = £5525 :j
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: only sent one letter
    • And then write your brief reclaim tale
sent them the questionnaire, next day i received a conformation letter. Week later they had accepted they were wrong! 28 days later received calculations, Now am just waiting for the cash!
Woo hoo Disneyland Xmas hear we come!!! :T:T:T

    Hi everyone,

I have just joined up to MSE.

Both myself and my husband have had numerous loans and credit cards over the years and dont appear to have paperwork
    for all of these.
Can i just phone/email the bank for the account numbers, credit agreements etc etc or can i just write to lloyds for example and quote that we wish to claim back ppi on all loans and credit cards connected with our accounts??

    Thanks in advance

    Hi and welcome

You can request for a SAR (subject access request) by enclosing £10 cheque or postal order they have 40 calendar days to comply and send all they hold on the account(s), if they were all with the same bank, then you only then need to do the one SAR.
    SAR letter template here:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1475553

You can though check your account numbers of the loans by checking online banking, if you do online banking, this should allow you to go back the last 6/7 years, and the loan account numbers are normally shown next to the monthly repayments.

So if you have a reclaim for being mis sold the ppi and your reason, just as long as you have the account numbers, you can continue to make a reclaim without the need of the paperwork really, and sometimes they send copies of the agreements back with a letter.

You could try asking the bank for the details first if you want to, maybe they will provide the details free.

If you need any help from here, give a yell, good luck.;)

I have an headache.....we had 2 loans in 2001.......and totally confused now, we had 2 separate ones, the one then we settled in 2002, but the account number is of that one settled in 2002.
I am pleased with the refund, but I don't want any comebacks either.......so not going to cash it in yet just in case, think its wise.

I still have 2 ongoing reclaims too.

Hubby said he will give them a ring as well tomorrow and ask for written plus verbal explanation of the calculations, to be on the safe side.;)

  • I recently helped both my nephew &his friend in their PPI reclaiming as I am an ex-bank employee & understand the procedures better. In July my nephew received more than £1600 from Barclays & his friend received a letter last Friday from Lloyds TSB informing him he was due a refund in excess of £1750 + interest! Obviously they are both ecstatic with the refunds, but both know companies who wanted to take between 25 + 40% commission from the amounts refunded-I offered to use Martin's website to obtain full refunds, found it relatively simple & (best of all) free . . a big thank you to MSE!

  • After reading all these FANTASTIC results I am even more depressed. I have now had an email from Claims Financial to say that they couldnt chase the FOS any further and that I would have to just sit it out. Three years now. I would love to know if anyone out there has had these kind of delaying tactics which seem so unfair that I am experiencing. I just simply dont know what to do. It was their mistake NOT mine and the FOS have found in my favour but still there is this dreadful delay. I have done everything within my power to get my £ back but I still cant get a result. Even writing to Lloyds head guy didnt get any results - they wrote back and said that someone would be in touch but noone has. If I didnt need the money so much I would have long let it go but I am pretty much up against the wall and although you guys out there (di3004) have been fantasically supportive I still cant get a result.

Surely to god three years is excessive to say the least - ????
