    Hi All

Received letter this morning from FOS saying that RBS has now agreed to make an offer of settlement (which is great news). RBS will write to me re the proposed settlement. they are asking me to sign the settlement form for them to pass onto RBS but also state that by me signing this form I am accepting the general approach to calculating the settlement of my complaint. Then RBS will write to me with exact figures.

Is this standard process? I thought the RBS would have came up with a figure and passed onto the FOS to pass on to me.

Has anyone had this with the FOS and other banks?

    thanks

Hi there, well done on your win, this is standard practice, rbs will calculate redress as per fos rules. The loan will have ppi taken off and the ppi paid to date given back to you with interest, your loan will reduce each month by the ppi monthly amount (if the loan is still running when you get the figures back, make sure the loan is still at the same term and apr it was at the start)

    thanks for this.

Its been a long wait - been at the FOS since June last year. The loan was finished in March - so this is a real bonus and its down to this magic website. Without Martin and his gang and all the users posting advice and help I wouldn't have known how to go about reclaiming the PPI.

A big thank you to all the users and Martin & co. XX

Anyone who have been let down, keep on at them or complain to the FOS, you will get there in the end, good luck.;)

Yes the wheels will be in motion now, you just have to wait for a reply from the bank. you should have it in writing from fos also, just to confirm what was said on the phone. x

Hi! thanks for this info. Have just received my user agreement form A&L for loan taken out 2003. At time had to take PPI even tho' didn't want it but wouldn't give me the loan otherwise. PPI was £1100 - do I attempt to claim this amount or do I need to add interest to this? Thanks.

Hi there, you just put a letter in for mis sell with your reasons, and you want ppi paid to date back with interest. Is this loan paid off or still running?
