Hi Freedom2b
No I wasn't spamming I saw an ad for the afforementioned company, just wondered if anybody had had any dealings with them, my claim is with EGG credit card and it seems on this thread that a lot of people are not getting much joy from them.
Sorry Baz,:A
My advice is go through the template letters first and if you don`t get any joy,(EGG does seem to be one of the worst...)Then try FO XThe Grass may look greenerbut it`s always going to take just as much mowing

Halifax are just basically all front no bottle. Make sure you get it in writing for the offer and remember you determine how you receive the money back not them. You can ask for the money to be paid into a seperate account or via a cheque. Although for a laugh you could always say like many places you no longer accept cheques:rotfl: .0 -

Golden rule number 1:
All correspondance to be made via letter. This gives you written confirmation of agreements made. Never accept phone calls and they don't necessary mean that they will honour the call. If you do get the phone call ask for the offer in writing which you will respond too. Don't accept anything over the phone.0 -

Good, I hope they are all front and no bottle as they also owe me a load of bank charges too,but like everyone else we are still waiting for the outcome of the loooong protracted court case.Have you heard any news on that front? and yes the offer is in writing!!!;)The Grass may look greenerbut it`s always going to take just as much mowing

Afternoon,
As this is my first post I will try to keep it simple!
Since 2000 I have held 3x Abbey loans that protection / insurance was included, I paid off the last loan in July 2007. I have the policy start dates and numbers so do I need to request a breakdown of the amounts paid or can I simply reclaim these payments using the template including factual reasons for my request?
Also, I have held an Egg card since 2000 and have been paying PPI from day one! I note a previous post stated Egg were not too helpful when trying to reclaim due to stating the application was made online and it was an option to include PPI. Anybody had any luck?
Lastly, I held an MBNA credit card that I paid PPI on, has anybody had any luck reclaiming with this company?
I hope the above makes sense!
I look forward to any posts that will aid me in this...
I also have had an EGG card since March 2000, I have found my copy of the credit aggreement and also a copy off the PPI terms, I have read through it and there is no mention of the PPI being optional and my signature is only on the credit aggreement copy, so you would think we should have a case for mis selling .0 -

Hadn't considered that - thanks very much - very good advice
I did send my letter registered post and received their reply quickly but it was just a general response to complaints - no reference to my PPI queries. They said they'd be contacting me by telephone to discuss - very clever :rolleyes:0 -

Hi Baz,
Thats where I got the Halifax, there was no signature on the PPI,so they admitted they had missold and we should not have been charged PPI,a whopping,£9,000 odd on the loan:eek: Have you sent any letters yet,if not go for it...The Grass may look greenerbut it`s always going to take just as much mowing

Baz send a registered letter with the signature blocks highlighted and say that you want a response within 28 days else you will be taking the case to court and this is a blant case of mis selling and fraud. E.g. the company has been taking funds from you without your permission or request.0
