Did they cover your previous medical history at the loan interview as it is common practice to ask a medical questionaire. If they did and you highlighted the fact you're in the right. If they didn't and assumed that you were fine you're in the right. I would make sure about the medical questionaire first though.
Yes they did go through past medical history with me at the loan interview over the phone. They asked, and I told them that I had had some tummy trouble, but that the hospital had given the all clear and it had not been apparent for some time now. In fact, the hosptial diagnosed a probably miscarriage, which when over, is gone and not a problem any longer, I told them this. They then said that this was fine and wouldnt be a problem with the PP. The later medical problem was also classed as a probable misscarriage and then the hospital decided to operate and remove things as the two sterilisation ops I had had done, had both now failed.0 -
I have taken LTSB to FOS and am waiting on a decision if they can take on the case as the loans were in 98 and 99, so i decided to collate all of the information with the possibly of going straight to court. LTSB are rubbish.
Heres my questions; when i refinanced 98 loan in 99 I should have recieved a 4 year rebate. yesterday LTSB emailed me to say the LPI ran for the full 5 years so no rebate ( this is rubbish ) can i claim for this seperately?
Here's the crucnh question; I asked them for the signed paperwork they have for my current 99 loan. they state they do not have this as they only need to hold paperwork for 6 years. is this the case or do they need to hold it for the full term of the loan??
I am at my wits end. LTSB have challenged FOS on taking on the case due to timeframes and now they wont give me the info i need to take them to court. They cant even provide me with the interest rates i was charged at the time.... am i just wasting my time and should I give up?? both premiums were without doubt forced on myself....
LTSB are now saying they will not correspond with me any more until the FOS have no involvement...
PLEASE HELP:mad:
Ok mate the problem here is the stipulation that you can only claim charges within the six years or PPI if the loan product was still going within six years ago. If this is the case and the loan was still active then yes they have to retain the paperwork as although the initial loan was over six years ago it didn't complete until within six years and therefore is still bound by the law. If they can't/won't provide the documentation that you have requested get them to admit it in a letter as this is more evidence in your favour as they can't prove what you say isn't correct. LTSB can say that they will not correspond with you however any requests for information still come under the duristiction of the Information Comissioner. Worst case tell the FOS that you would appreciate copies of all documentation that is received from the LTSB relating to your case as LTSB are unwilling to provide you with said documentation and therefore currently you have no overall picture of developments.0 -

Ok first things first ask for a copy of the cd containing the conversation of your loan application as this is what you need to disprove their false allegation's and then reference it with the letter saying about the fact you didn't disclose the information. Remember request via registered letter.0 -
Spoke to Norton Finance they agreed they sold us the loan and PPI they have received the complaint that FP passed on to them. Hi,
I have got good news, finnally barclays agreed to rduce my loan by refund me the PPI, they will reschedule my loan, they offer me the same rate 14.9%.
I ask the in the last letter to be refund 8% statuatory interests but they ignore my request, we've been sending letters to each other every week because i ask the to detailed all the calculation they occur to arrive to the new loan agreement, they try to settle the loan from the date when i start my complaint November even if at the beginning they refuse to admit any faults and refuse to refund me any money... then they agreed and they start all the calculations up to november and completely no taking in consideration the 3 months after to today that i paid ppi on top on my loan , so i ask to re-calculate up to february... longo story..then i had a look at the caluclations and there was error on the ampun so i am still dealing with the, and i ask the 8% statutory interest but i don't konw how they are supposed to calculate them ...on the total PPI or the ? can you please assist me ? i have to write to them before friday!!!
pls pls pls!!! many thanks0 -
Can anyone tell me if recaiming your PPPI has any effect on your credit score?
We have just successfuly reclaimed PPI from A&L. They have rescheduled the loan, basically giving us another loan for the remaining months at the original interest rate.
I wondered if when they set up this new loan, they woud do a credit check, as this will have left a footprint?
We may be looking for another loan for a vehice in the next few months and it would be helpful to know if this footprint has been left beforehand.
Also, what do you think our chances are of A&L giving us another loan? Is it worth asking them if we can refinance the existing loan, and hopefully get the same rate?
Or is that being a bit to cheeky?:o0 -

A relative took out a £4000 loan with Abbey National in March 2004.
She was sold PPI of £941.00 on top of this. She did not know it was not complulsory.
She got into debt. She changed banks to Natwest, who said to take out a loan with them to pay off Abbey. Yet when she rang Abbey once the Natwest funds had come through, they said she was not allowed to pay it off in full. She has only just admitted this to me and I have checked paperwork which says you can pay it off early in full.
As such, she has ended up with 2 loans. She is in trouble with Abbey. As such, Abbey defaulted the account and she now has to pay a debt collecting agency a certain amount a month. (I think £75) and is still paying off the Natwest one.
She has since got into further debt and lots of trouble.
I have 3 questions, which can anyone help with?
1) Can she still make a PPI claim even though she is now in 'trouble' with them?
2) Shouldn't the PPI have covered her for maternity leave/out of work as a result? I have checked small print and can see no reason why not.
3) Does she have any kind of case about the failure to be able to pay off her loan? If so, how do we go about this? Her word against theirs?
Can anyone help???!!!0
